Is there any news updates of staying 5K cap or increasing to 10K cap?

Note the bold area:

Canada is committed to reuniting families and the Government of Canada is seeking to increase the intake of parent and grandparent sponsorship applications from 5,000 to 10,000 per year. In light of this commitment, IRCC will retain the first 10,000 complete applications.

Its just a matter of 'when' those applications will start to be processed. They are currently debating the throne speech in the house.... then they will move on to more important things like Immigration.

I see .. And you are saying this because You have personally checked all 9:20 Fedex batch AND ensured that ALL those not charged had no mistakes on their application - correct ? Isn't it a possibility, SIR, that those not charged @ 9:20 may have not reported it on the forum or made a mistake on their application. Please don't make a fool of yourself by posting such nonsense.

You mean 40% of applications delivered by Fedex are rejected due to mistakes? I don't think soooo...

Cap 5000 is reached now.
None from Purolator 9:43am batch can make it into the 5000 cap, because actual delivered time is around 2:00 pm.

Since the statement is made with such authority there are 2 possibilities:
1) Angels sang in your ear
2) You are the Purolator Courier who made the delivery

Please advise what is it ? so curious to know ..

Congrats. I remember ur birth certificate was without name. This shows cic have relax rules in supporting docs. This was not the case last two years. That mean lot less rejection this year. People app reaching 5th jan will need good luck getting under 10000

Ya, that worked out for me for now. They might ask for supporting documents later on. I hope they raise the cap and charge remaning 5000 apps too.

My cc card got charged yesterday. Mine was delivered by UPS 6:31AM on Jan 04th signed by adsieu according to UPS tracking.
Single application for my MOM. It was sent from Ontario.

Your CC got charged on Jan 25 and on same day your application was returned (as you reported on the SS). They both cannot be true. Were you provided a letter by CIC explaining why your application was returned? Normally they do.
