This is what I just emailed Purolator. I also request some of you who used Purolator and credit card as a payment method. Please share when your cc's get charged as I used certified cheque and it would really give me an idea of whether I have a chance of getting accepted. I am really worried.

I used your services to send documents to citizenship and immigration Canada on January 4th. I realize you had received a lot of packages and my application was part of the 700+ applications that Purolator had to deliver by 9 AM. I was told over the phone that my package was delivered prior to 9 AM. Then, I found out the time of delivery on the tracker said 9.43 AM. We also received some information on a forum where everyone discussed status updates on the deliveries through different couriers. The information we received is that Purolator was not present at the office at 9 AM. If this is true, and unless you had subbed another courier to deliver for Purolator, I find it highly deceiving and unethical that I would be given such an information that my package was delivered prior to 9 AM when it actually wasn't. I request you to please investigate this matter and confirm exactly when my application was delivered to CIC. A few minutes late, and so many of our applications would not be accepted. We put a lot of faith in Purolator to deliver on time because it is a big name company. If the files don't make it due to lack of effort on purolators part to make delivery on time, the disappointment will only be echoed by other hundreds of applicants. I really hope you will look into my request for my peace of mind.

My application was sent via UPS and was received at 8:26am this morning- Jan 5th. My guess is it was too late.

Hi Folks,

I sent couple of applications (Both for mom+dad) via current express that reached 9.20am on 4 jan. I talked to these guys and they mentioned that they delivered 116 in total and confirmed that all big couriers were behind them. for purolator they mentioned they had ~1500 packages. I am just saying what ino i got from current express. thanks

Hi guys,
I think everybody just stop worrying now about what time there package reached, calculate timing , what rate they process, couriers fault, all these things not gona do anything now . Its better to discuss how to make this process more viable for next year 2017.
Thanks

I contacted Purolator and they said they delivered 700 applications today. Here's the updated table. Numbers in bold based on comments in this thread. Numbers in italic are a guesstimate based on the 2016 PGP tracking spreadsheet. Whether the cap has been reached already largely depends on the UPS and FedEx numbers, as well as how they treat CanadaPost deliveries to their PO box (different address).

8:21Happy Road Express700
8:21?The Messengers Express150
8:21?VW Express150
8:30BNS50
8:31UPS1000
8:40??50
8:45Metro Mississauga50
8:45GTA Express50
9:00Messengers Int'l50
9:19FedEx1000
9:20Current Express50
9:43Purolator700
Jan 4th Others (after 9:43)50
TOTAL JAN 4TH4050

Thank you for your information. I used VW and the delivery time they reported was 8:10 a.m. on Jan4. Not sure what your source of info is for times above.

VW said that they reached the window at 8.10 and were out of there in about 20 minutes. They wrote 8.10 on the Waybill as the time they started delivering the applications. Realistically, all these applications went into the cage by 8.30 AM

Could you clarify this for me? I neither understood here nor in the spreadsheet. Are you an IMM Consultant acting for your clients?

Yes, I was there. Fedex van arrived at 8:30-40, by the time the driver got his stuffs, took care of parking fee and got up the elevator, and scanned the files while he was waiting in-line, I figured 9:19 was about the time. There was at lease 1 hour of waiting time ahead of him from that point. I left at 10am, the van was still there.
. Dear ya61x what about Purolator which says it has delivered at 9/43 a.m.Did you notice him and what time?

Day before yesterday I lodged complain to UPS that how on earth they sent courier package at 6:31 AM morning when the federal government office opens at 8:00 AM. First response was "Our records indicate that your shipment was delivered to MISSISSAUGA, ON on 01/04/16 at 06:31 AM" - which I obviously I know. So I responded that I was not at all with the response and also did online chat. Failing to give a valid answer, they forwarded to the local package center on 01/05/16 for further review and action and also inform me expecting expect a call on 01/06/16 by 10:00 AM.

So I got the call at 9:30 from a representative of UPS. She conceded that 6:31 is the time of going to the spot. At around 7:45, CIC let them in into the building. They have delivered in between 8AM and 11AM. She also told me there was more than 3000 applications - so it was not possible to specify when an individual package was delivered. She confirmed me it was delivered in between 8AM and 11AM.

It is getting difficult . no brainier. I will suggest people who have single parent to use H & C route. That route need a plan.
1> Make sure no sibling in country of your single parent resident
2> Get single person with new passport
3> Get super visa( to get max upto 10 years)( be careful when applying try to show minimum relationship such as house or some FDs that it. Try show no pension if possible but one cannot lie etc as it will direct against when applying later under H & C)
4> Get him/her here & sold all property back home. Break all relationships and even if pension exist, setup to get via bank in Canada
5> After 6 months of her/his here, using good lawyer apply for pr under H & C

That’s the best I can give advice & talking with good lawyer before starting with step 1 is good way.

Else start preparing for rat race next year. Even 10000 applications slot will go in smoke in 7-8 hours at 1800 application acceptance rate( not mention CIC may start 5 inlets instead of 3)
Someone wants to settle here . starting a local courier company in Toronto now is best time as there is money to be make next year. 200 dollars x 40000 app = 10 million dollar , even getting pie of 5% = half million dollar

This is as good as guess. You didn't count Canada post in mail room. And I heard that only the happy road itself delivered 1500 packages. My guess would be morning in and afternoon out.

Liberals still committed to doubling parent/grandparent immigration, insists McCallum

Some one need to correct spreadsheet of projection ... Please consider factors like time it takes to stamp one file and putting stamp on another.. based on forum member feedback consider 3 tables.. I highly doubt that formula in place is vaild.. either it should be appropriate or should be removed from file as it will put more stress on applicants..

If UPS alone had more than 3K applications, that means the cap was definitely reached before noon on Monday (unless the Liberals do in fact increase the cap). Is that what the rep said? That UPS alone had 3K applications?
