I just drove to Case Processing Centre-Mississauga and there was only Canada Post there and Purolator was driving out of the parking lot

Apparently no more line ups

It is possible that Purolator started on the line at 9:43 and start accepting the 700 packages... It cannot take note the end time of receiving the 700th package, I would think it will consider the initial time Purolator and receiver started processing the packages

Don't you think they just updated their system around 1:30-2pm?
Who said the update always happens in real time?
Why would they lie? If people pay for a certain delivery time, Purolator might have been in trouble so many times if they lied!!! It's only us who can't find out exact delivery time of the package, but think about tons of other cases when Purolator is supposed to deliver by the paid for time and if it's some business packages, etc. it's super easy to find out when the package was actually delivered. I used to work as an office administrator and know about time sensitive deliveries and how they are tracked, etc..... If Purolator lied they would have been out of business already!
Stop making up scary stories and conspiracy theories.....

You think we all are lying and Purolator is right?? common don't tell me you are from Purolator lol

We are not saying they always do this so going out of business part is irrelevant.. we are saying this time they didn't do it what was expected... they missed our packages from Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg isn't that 1 more evidence that they suck??? also we talked to them entire day yesterday asking for explanations which they didn't give until afternoon time. So no we are not making any scary stories that's a fact what we suffered bcoz of someone else being irresponsible.

Did you use Metro Mississauga as well? No, I didn't receive a receipt or confirmation of waybill. I can try to ask him.

Yeah I used MM and I do not have any proof that it was delivered other his word and his updated website.

I have no conformation on the time as well.

What I have his own printed copy that confirms that MM took the order.

It could be that Purolator is lying, however why would they make up the number 9:43AM as opposed to any other time? It's already late, they might as well have put 8:45AM if they were falsifying it.

I think the most likely explanation is that there were multiple different Purolator trucks doing delivery. One at 9:43AM for the "9AM" service, one at 10:08AM for the "Same Day" service, and one at 2:30PM for the "Regular" service. These different kind of services do not get grouped together, and would always go on different trucks.

It is still possible that 9:43AM is a lie, but reading people's replies it sounds like there was no queue by that time.

yes, seems like to be different purolator guys on different times but still some people stated in the forum that they didn't see purolator between 8 and 10 am. Now let's all hope that our application gets accepted within the 5000 cap.

yes its possible but almost everyone, who sent their app using 9 am service called them and asked them about the delivery after 10, got responses like 'drive is in the queue', 'no status available' etc. if they had delivered it at 9:43 what was stopping them from confirming at least for one delivery? Multiple people have reported that Purolator wasnt there in the morning and saw the truck leave in the afternoon. Too bad CPC isnt tracking the time otherwise that could have been a perfect check.

When you deal with 700+ applications, I'd expect them to be more diligent.

I used Metro Mississauga too. Same here, no proof of delivery or anything. When I called they said "Well you have to put your trust with someone"
Keeping my figures crossed.

I remember Purolator was on firing line last year also on 2015 thread. Not many believe in their 8.45am delivery claim since it was FEDEX people who were getting changed first on CC for many days
But luckily all first day applications morning or evening were within CAP. So things does not heat up as even late CC charging for Purolator applicants was acceptable to people
But this year it seems anyone after 12 noon is in danger , since instead of one person, CIC make arrangements for three inlets. So Intake was 3 times faster.
It is tough time until people Get CIC email with application number. That will happen around march. Through CC charging should start from next week.

CC charge should be a good enough indicator to be in the cap. I think we are just going to have to wait and watch.. if some of the Purolator apps dont make it in the cap and if other couriers do then we can question their 9.43am delivery time.

Yeah, I am relying on trust as well but I think we are entitled to get a receipt regardless. Anyhow as long as it was delivered on time.

What is really shocking to me is that the MM's website says they lined up at 10am Jan 3, 2016 and was in top 3 (assuming 3rd). But comparing that with the info in the forum MM was in 7th position. This means there were guys lining up before jan 3 10am??? really ..!! WOW

8:21 Happy Road Express 700
8:21? The Messengers Express 150
8:21? VW Express 150
8:30 BNS 50
8:31 UPS 1000
8:40 ?? 50
8:45 Metro Mississauga 50
8:45 GTA Express 50
9:00 Messengers Int'l 50
9:19 FedEx 1000
9:20 Current Express 50
9:43 Purolator 700
Jan 4th Others (after 9:43)

PS - the owner told me they have 100+ applications when I inquired.

I wish luck to everyone.... :-)

Someone here also confirmed the VW Express number is too low and should be listed as 700 instead of 150.

For those who used Metro Mississauga (including myself), I guess one (positive) way of looking at things is by reading a post published on this forum by ya61x who was actually there on the morning of Jan 04 at CIC.

Post Title: Best and worst courier services - Jan 4, 2016 Parents/grand parents sponsor

I sent mine thru Canada post/express post last dec 29, 2015 and got a receipt confirmation 10:47 am Jan 4. What do you think of my chances getting into the 5000 cap?

CC charge from last year looks basically random. The ones that were charged earliest are Canada Post which were delivered 10:50AM to 11:31AM (quite late), followed by Purolator and Fedex. HappyRoad and a couple of others were charged early, but they only had 2 apps, not enough to establish a pattern. I don't think they put a time stamp on the packages received, just a date stamp. So nobody knows what's going to happen this time.
