Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I contacted Purolator and they said they delivered 700 applications today. Here's the updated table. Numbers in bold based on comments in this thread. Numbers in italic are a guesstimate based on the 2016 PGP tracking spreadsheet. Whether the cap has been reached already largely depends on the UPS and FedEx numbers, as well as how they treat CanadaPost deliveries to their PO box (different address).

Guys, my package shows UPS delivered it at 6:31 am. I was just talking to CIC and the agent told me that if it was received at 6:31 am, then it will be returned back as it was clear that it should be received after 8am yesterday. I called UPS and talked to the agent and said that the 6:31 am shows the time the courier arrived at the centre. However, the courier was asked to queue along with other courier guys as the receiveing guy does not accept the packages until after 8am. Did you hear of this same story? I am hoping yes as I cannot afford to wait again another year for this.

My package shows the delivery time at 6:31 am. Does it show the package left at office for those who got their package delivered after 8 am?

My tracking shows 6:31 am is the time the courier arrived at the centre. However, the courier was asked to queue along with other courier guys as the receiveing guy does not accept the packages until after 8am. Did you hear of this same story? I am hoping yes as I cannot afford to wait again another year for this.

Delayed Purolator packages are starting to flow in the system now..

Is it true that after 12NN all application for 4th of January are all in? If this is the case then 5th January application still have a chance. I hope and pray that this year will be almost the same as last year, where some of the second day applications were able to enter the FINAL CAP.

Guys... My application for my Mom + Dad and MIL and FIL was delivered 8:52AM today.. I guess all Purolator Alberta was received same time as mine.. We pray that we can still make it..

Yes mine got delivered at 8:52am as well but its just one day late... I feel so sick about all this what Purolator did to us..

What I can imagine is they did this purposely... maybe they already have lots of application and they didn't wanted to take all at once and delayed all alberta and took 700 so that remaining can be delivered next day. But why only us should have told us before so that we would have got some other company to deliver for us.... now we don't even know we are in a CAP or not...

BTW who signed your waybill?? it says Rachhpal on mine

So according to the news
"Any changes to immigration levels will be announced when the government delivers its annual immigration report. The report was supposed to be tabled by Nov. 1, but the House of Commons was not yet sitting after the Oct. 19 election"

I noticed that House of Commons will be sitting next week and most of February. Lets hope they bring in the changes that they promised.

Mine was UPS too....not sure what is the true story from ups. It says 7:36 delivery time. Who signed urs...

I have few things to say when you're filling out the spreadsheet.

1. TIMELINE is the actual database which will eventually contain all applicants' info. This sheet is locked to view only so you cannot edit. NEW ENTRY sheet has been made for you to enter/update info. Once you use a row in NEW ENTRY to enter your info, I manually add it to TIMELINE and then leave comments (if applicable) or delete the row. Once you are added to TIMELINE, you will see your name in drop down list.

2. Unless you specify a received time & date in NEW ENTRY, I won't add them to TIMELINE. Furthermore, if there are too many data floating in NEW ENTRY w/o any received time-date stamp; I will delete them. You will have to re-enter the info once you get received time-date from your courier.

3. Please, try to fill out all blank fields. There are only 8 fields per person and most of them have drop-down list. On the contrary, I'm taking care of everyone's.

4. The next step would be PAYMENT CASHED By CIC. It generally starts from Monday (next week) and will probably lasts the whole month. CIC will start charging CC or cashing Drafts/Cheques once they are happy with the application package. Once this happens, you can use the drop-down menu to select your username and put a charging date (you don't have to write anything prior as they are already in TIMELINE)

for those delivery who used Metro Mississauga did anyone get any info on who signed the received receipt?
The guy wont tell nor would give the receipt unless there were a dispute on the file being delivered.
