Hi Rossei, I became PR in 2013 and I don't have 3 years of NOA. Can I apply for my parents though I meet the financial criteria. Your thought on this will be appreciated. Appreciate comment from any other who has gone through such situation. Thanks

Having three years of NOAs is mandatory. If you can't provide an NOA for 2012, 2013 and 2014 that meets LICO - your application will be automatically refused since you don't meet the financial criteria to sponsor them.

Hi Guys,

I will use the 9AM service of Purolator and drop my package in the Purolator Shipping Center in either 33 Bloor St or 1 Adelaide St on December 31st since they advised me to do so if I want my package to reach January 4th at 9AM... Is it a good idea??? TIA!!!

Hello Everyone,

I am filling out the application for my Mother under 2016 PGP.
I am almost complete with my paperwork however given the nature where she is physically brings few doubts in my mind regarding her country of residence and mailing address correspondence.
My Mother:
She is a citizen of India and holds an Indian passport. She is currently in USA with my brother on visitor visa until Feb. 15th 2016. She also holds a Super visa from Canada which she will use to enter Canada in Feb. 2016 to come and stay for some time with me. As we all know the 2016 PGP application intake opens on 4th Jan 2016. Following are my doubts which I need some mentoring from some of you here in the community:

1. Form - Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008]
Question 10: Current country of Residence: United States of America Visitor 2015-xx-xx to 2016-02-xx
Question 11: It is blacked out.
Question 12: Previous countries of Residence other than Country of Citizenship if more than 6 months. Filled Canada Visitor from 2014-03-xx to 2014-12-xx as she stayed for more than 6 months with me last year on super visa.

CONTACT INFORMATION
Mailing Address: Sponsor Address i.e. My address in Canada
Residential Address: What should be the best Address here? Can I give Mine (Canada)or Brother (USA where she is currently living) or her native country where she is a citizen of India? And do we fill in the Representative form if mailing and Residential address will be different?

2. Form - 8. Additional Family Information [IMM 5406]
Section A: My mother details with her present address of USA where she is staying in with my brother.

a. Please advice if the answers for the Form IMM 0008 are correct?
b. Please advice what should be the correct Mailing and Residential Address. Really struggling here.
c. IS the Address in Form IMM 5406 is also correct?

I would appreciate the people reading my queries and taking time to help me with completing my forms.
Thanks,

hi.
I believe, national ID is ID of country of your citizenship. If you are a canadian citizn, then you can use number of canadian citizenship certificate as national ID.

I am not a citizen, I am the sponsored applicant. I guess in that case, I would have to use my birth certificate, which does not have an expiry date....

Hi Jay,

I am in the same situation sponsoring both our parents. We have 2 kids as well, so our number increases.

But is it 2 separate financial evaluation forms with you+ 2 for curent undertaking + spouse = 6 for both ?

If you are intending to sponsor your 2 parents, plus your spouse's 2 parents, then you should meet MNI for family size of 8 (You + spouse + 2 kids + 4 parents).

If you don't meet this income for past 3 years, then you would need to just choose 1 set of parents to sponsor (if you just meet income for size of 6).

Hi all

Please confirm if all photocopies need to be certified(notarized) or only which are not in English or French?

thanks

Hi
My question is weird but just for information any one please reply
I heard that CPC send your applications back after they reach to cap of 5000 so my question is do we have to provide them canada post stamp or they will send it by their own expense?
Thanks in advance

My application was returned last year with cover letter that I didn't make it to the cap, I didn't provide a stamp.

Thanks! I am sending mine from downtown Toronto... I know local courier services CAN be faster but I don't want to take a risk... At the end of the day, we can just do our best with the knowledge that we have.

Its written only copies of documents not in english or french should be certified and translated (certified also).
But I made all copies except my citizenship certificate certified.

Request for information.

As CIC requested for the copy of the passport and my mother passport is in English.

Does it need to be notarized?

Thanks in advance
