Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Today I submitted passport for myself and my wife.VFS said it will take 7 to 10 working days.In absence of courier service after receiving message I have to collect my passport from VFS office.

I am the Principal Applicant.Accompanied by my wife and my younger daughter.My younger daughter is in Toronto.Myself and my wife is in India.My wife is coming to Toronto on December04. My consultant advises me that I being the Principal Applicant must visit Canada first to enable my wife and my daughter to get PR. Please guide me. My consultant has received my Passport request and is going to send me in coming hours.Please guide me at the earliest.

Think its better you send in a query to CIC and see if its possible.

So my mom finally received her first PR card. There was no issues whatsoever, only thing I can think of, perhaps the delay was caused due to the fact that she got married (first time in her life) to a Canadian Citizen, just 2 days after becoming PR. So the time it took to process the initial card is 1 day short of 6 months. Good thing is the cards expiry date is now pushed 6 months further into the future. So the 47 day processing time is a statistical fiction at best. Over and Out.

Send a case enquiry to CIC via IRCC webform seeking answer. They will reply in 10 bz days. I got a reply for something I asked in just few hours. I believe supervisa is for parents and grandparents only. Visitor visa is another thing, but for it you may need to provide bunch of documents again and prove the intent of temporary stay which is on contrary in your situation since CIC decision on PR is already made. Once again your best option is to ask via IRCC webform . Dont rush if you have enough time to plan well.

. My wife is having SuperVisa.My daughter asked CIC Call Centre and they replied that my wife can travel on Supervisa Inspite of having PR stamped.Yet making some other inquiries.Let us what happens.GOD bless us all.

Last update on CIC website for my parents was done on October 23rd as Medical reports received. (This is after 4 remedicals done for my dad) No change or update since then. Does anyone know how long it takes them to update the decision. This is getting really annoying that what are they waiting for. Is there a way I can send an email to them asking about the status of the decision or I should just simply keep waiting. Its almost 3 years since I filed for their immigration. I am loosing my patience.

We did medical in May 2018 and it just says medical passed and background check is ongoing. So you are not alone... waiting and waiting

Same here... File received 4JAN2016, in process since Dec-2017, updated travel document, PR fees, etc. sent JAN-2018... No updates since then... WAITING AND WAITING....

Also have a question.. they have not requested for medical test, is it because my parent is already here on super visa and did their medical before coming here?? Does anyone have similar scenario?? Or will they ask to do medical in the latter stages??
