Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Thanks Rossei.Got the UCI number from TRV and also i updated their address 3 days back via a link u posted and now there is updated Canadian address there.So this mean future correspondence will be on this address ???

And if i must expect any other letter or embolic communication from CIC as so far i received only one letter in email which mentions of application number and says application has been accepted for cap of 2016 and nothing else.

Do i need to call them to check about sponsorship approval letter or still wait ?

Fxxxxxxxxx is the Application No.
xxxx-xxxx is a UCI No.

If your parents have TRV/SV, it may be printed on their VISA.
If they never applied/came to Canada before, they wouldn't have it. Also, old visas won't have it.

Thank you for the update!! How did you receive the ME request (mail or email)? Also did you fill out the representative form stating you as the representative? I didn't fill out the form so im trying to figure out how we will receive requests from the LVO going forward.

I guess you're not in the SS. I would recommend to enroll. That way I could compare your case and comment.

You are now in "Timeline" sheet, Row# 311. The Timeline sheet is sorted based on Payment Acceptance Date (from earliest to latest). You can always update/modify any of your info using any of free row from 10 to 50 of "New Entry" sheet. You can lookup your entry from "New Entry" sheet as well using any of the 3 cells (A7, A8 or A9). This directly brings your info from "Timeline" sheet so that it's easier to update if you have to.

So, based on your timeline, you fall into the 2nd 5K cap. Not many people from 2nd 5k have got SA yet. So, you don't have to worry.

I'm from 2015 batch and my SA letter is dated 3-Jun-2016. Both my and my mom's E-Cas says "Application Received". Do I contact CIC? No. E-Cas is not always meaningful. .

2014: 3 out of 4 NDVO cases have received IME/PCC/Docs request
2015: 6 out of 12 NDVO cases have received IME/PCC/Docs request
2016: 2 out of 5 NDVO cases have received IME/PCC/Docs request (ShiftyTinCan & kanata2016)

Can we request to transfer file from new Delhi to Ottawa as my mom lives with me on super visa. I had put Canadian address as mailing address and current home address, and in ecas both address are set to Canadian address but still the application was transferred to New Delhi.

So apparently my application status changed from "In Process" back to "Application Received". I wouldn't sweat over it since I received SA letter, and my parents were asked to provide pcc and medical, but change in the status seemed weird to me. Has anybody else experienced this?

So, your LVO is New Delhi and you have applied for your parents in 2016 (1st 5000 batch) and after SA your file was transferred to New Delhi and your parents received letter/email asking for PCC/Medical already? Is that correct? If yes, that is fast Congrats!
By the way, did your parents receive postal mail or email for PCC/Medical?

In Generic Application (IMM0008ENU), the mailing address is mine(Canada) and the residential address is my parents'(Korea). I put my dad's cell for a phone number and put mine for an alternative number and email address. Doesn't this mean that they will correspond through my home and email address? I just regret that I didn't put my phone number as the main number, but they may not contact by phone anyway... I also submitted a representative form with my address. I don't know why I have to change my parents' residential address to mine(Canada) when there's a note on the CRA website as below.

Note: if you have an immigration application in process and a representative on file (paid or unpaid), the mailing address in your file will stay your representative’s address.

When I check the ECAS with my dad's birthday, the current home address is Korea, and below that, it says "to change this mailing address, contact us". I put my Canada address as our mailing address. What does this mean? Does this mean that the CIC doesn't care what I wrote and I need to change it again?

I received SA on June 3, 2016 by email and the file was transferred to Ottawa. But since then, no other email came. I didn't even think that they might send request letters to my parents' home in Korea. I put my dad's email only in the additional family information form. Is there possibility that they may contact him by his email?

Based on the spread sheet, none of the Ottawa ones received IME/PCC request yet...so should I just wait and see?..

Any advice??

Yes absolutely possible.
This happens all the time. My sister was travelling last year when the request for medicals came and she got her medical completed in Canada.
So don't worry about that.

How about the Police Clearance Cert (PCC), is it the same?
i.e. Can a person apply for PCC in Canada if person is visiting Canada for a few months but resides outside.
My mother-in-law is visiting us for a few months from China. Just wondering in case a PCC is asked of her by CIC. Thanks!

For PCC, you need to contact Chinese embassy inside Canada.
