Hello

My credit card charged on 7th March but I have not received any AOR email yet.

Is there any one in same boat?

Hello sir. Is there any Tips for 2017(future)PGP Applicants

Honestly...you have a lot of time...hence I would say...read this 260 pages of discussion...you will have loads of tips and suggestions... ;) :D :P

CC charged today for Application #1 (Mom+Dad), Purolator Jan 5th 8:52am bath.

I have to admit, I had no hope when I saw my applications reaching Mississauga on Jan 5th based on last year experience, not even after hearing Cap was double for this year. I am really surprised, happy, and thankful. Many thanks to everyone who make this forum very productive with such valuable information.

My recommendation/suggestion for anyone submitting applications from outside GTA like me, for 2017 process, please think carefully which courier you choose, it appears that even good reputation may not be enough, there are so many factors to consider including weather, airplane delays, etc. So, If I had to do it again, I would choose a local GTA courier, I would send the package a week prior to such GTA courier, which GTA local courier? I don't know, the spreadsheet has very good stats numbers on the performance of them, but they seem to outperform every single major courier, including on those apps sent from GTA area.

Thanks again and good luck for anyone else from Jan 5th batches waiting for the payment to be completed.

YEAH!!! i made it too . Just got charge $1100 today. Thank you so much for this post for support. i was so worry yesterday too.

IRCC might change the delivery or intake process next year, based on their statement early this year...as there was too much of noise this year because of local courier companies charging a lot of money...for this specific purpose...but we will know more about it...close to 2017...

Hello all,

I had lost my hope but CIC charged my credit card on March 22nd and it appears today in my statement.

I will add my info in the spreadsheet after I come back from a meeting.

Cheers,

Johanna

I absolutely agree, the current intake process is unfair just for that simple reason (all apps have to reach CIC-Mississauga on a specific date), in a previous post in this forum, when I knew my apps didn't reach on Jan 4th as expected, I mentioned the need to request changes to CIC to make it fair, including perhaps a lottery system, since once you set a limit, and the demand is higher, how do you eliminate such factors like delays by couriers due to weather (especially during winter), I also believe to have suggested opening the intake more than once per year, thus, 10K/year but 2 times a year, every 6 months, thus 5K/cycle, this way they also eliminate other factors, like applicant/sponsor not being ready by Dec each year, etc. Some other people suggested to have apps sent to regional/local CIC offices and allocating cap based on population or a proportion based on total apps received vs apps received locally (still not perfect, but better)

There are several ways to improve the current intake process, that's for sure, each one to address a specific problem we have faced so far.

Thanks

Bro we made it finally lol good to see your cc got charged :)

It seems like CIC opened enough completed applications and then take payment not exactly in order. So anyone who hasn't received returned package should still have hope. I believe the files between 10,000 to 14,000 are already returned.

Hope this is the case!

Need advise from someone who knows anything about default?

Application for Parent sponsorship accepted by CIC.

I sponsored my wife in 2014 and she landed here in Canada last year 2015 Feb.
Now she is going to school and her education is sponsored by provincial govt. and federal.
so basically she is getting benefits from govt. for education which makes me at default I guess.

So my question is should I pay off her loan and not be in default or wait until CIC ask to pay for the loan?

how long it will take for CIC to know that I'm at default as file is already accepted but I think they won't touch it for years as there is backlog and I can clear her loan by then.

Please help and advise if anyone know how to deal in this situation.

Thank You!

This following might now be completely true based on my understanding..." I believe the files between 10,000 to 14,000 are already returned."

The reason I am saying this is because if CIC already opened and verified all the 5K-10K apps before and was just waiting to charge our CC...then based on the below...the 5k-10k CC would have been charged by now already...

0-5K - CIC started charging around Jan 7 and went till the end of Jan (25th) approx...do not have the excel opened...hence saying approx...This includes opening, verifying and charging of CC.

5K-10K - CIC started charging around Mar 7 and it is going on till now (March 24th)...

Hence if they have already opened and verified and 5K-10K apps before (Feb)...it would have definitely taken them less time to charge the second set of 5K apps...but looking at the CC charging timelines....they are similar to Jan.

Hence I believe they did not open it before and they only started verifying and charging 5K-10K apps...once they received a formal go ahead around end of Feb.
