Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Same her hkx23. My wife sponsored her father and cc got charged yeseterday. I sponsored my both parents and wondering if it is because both parents are being sponsored and the application is complex. Both packages received at the same time. My cc yet to be charged

I didn't provide any UCI number even though I had it, but my CC still got charged.

Thanks for your help on this! I can see it now (wondering why did it not occur to me earlier )
Since I did not know how to find UCI at the time of application, I left it empty for my parents application (I provided mine)...wondering it is causing delay in CC charge...

It's not mandatory to provide UCI. They will look it up in their records.

I called CIC and the agent said only the first 5000 will be processed, 5000-10k will be retained until informed later. Therefore if you've got charged now I assume you are in the first 5k.

What is the contact number or email for CIC to you have used to ask about application process. Coz i am also trying to call or email them but i didn't find their contact info and the number in the guideline has all automated answers......!!!

We are reaching the time of truth for Purolator 9:43 applications. Many of us suspected the credibility of their 9:43 delivery timestamp. Now that, as per the spreadsheet, almost all previous batches (9:34, 9:25, 9:19) have their credit cards charged, it would be the turn of Puralator credit cards charges to appear from early next week. If their CC don't get charged, I would say Puralotor has actually been delivered around 12 or even later.

What makes me suspect them even more, is the 8:58 tag below. What does that really mean?

As per the people in this forum who were present near CIC office on 4th Jan, they didn't see purolator till 10 am. Also, when I chatted with purolator around 1 to 2 pm EST,the agent told me that the guy is in line for delivery for 700 packages. and around 2 pm EST, i got delivery notice for 9:43.
Either purolator is lying or there might be some third party agent who delivered packages on behalf of purolator around 9:43.

I think it was the next day or late on the 4th because I printed the tracking info prior to it showing that line, when it just said delivered at 9:43am.

Everyone - The trick I said will only work if you have a previously generated UCI for your parents for their visa etc. If you don't have it you cannot use the trick. At the same time, if you didn't enter it in the forms DON'T WORRY... your file is still safe...

I had no intention to create panic..The way I see it is that CIC databases are linked, so if they enter your information in the system it should be accessible to us in the public verified domain access (which is the ECAS site) which is what we are using...

So, please don't panic.

hopefully 9:43 am purolator batch get charged next week. I saw a couple of 9.19 am that got charged today. Congrats guys!

Purolator used local courier to deliver Same Day Service packages. So the 700 pkgs might be just that.

I think the people who used same day service are the people from Ontario who delivered their packages either on 31st December or 4th January at Purolator office and their some of their's credit card got charged already. Purolator might have given packages to some local agents to deliver it on 4th January.

For myself and other people who are from different provinces who used next day 9 am delivery service might be the ones who are from that 700 batch and i think purolator driver himself might have delivered it. I delivered my package on 31st December at Purolator office in Vancouver and I am among those 700 people waiting for the credit card to be charged.
