Timing to get file number

Hi all,

how much time London office is taking to allocate the file number ? Can you guys share your experience please ?

As per my understanding, it is the Nova Scotia office that gives you a file number. Then the file is transferred to your visa office, in your case-London.

They gave out file numbers to Jan 10,2014 applicants on Feb 21st. So you're looking at a 6week timeline from your app being received and you getting your file number.

Hmm..But i did not hear anything from last 3 months from CIC. I have applied under 2134 and application was reached to 15th Nov,2013.
