Got passport submission request today.

Any clue on how long does the passport stamping take currently? We've to submit ours at the VFS Delhi office.

Has your biometrics been completed? Reckon it’d be good for you to open a new thread for Jan applicants from India.

Got the Passport request for my mom. Really happy. Just to bust some of the myths here:
1) I am a recently approved PR and have not done landing and mentioned the reason of visit as she will be accompanying us for landing and stay thereafter
2) I applied TRV for my widowed mother
3) Clearly stated that I need my mom to stay for around 6 months and she will be accompanying me once I do landing
4) submitted just the letter from bank and showed a balance of around 35000 CAD in my mom account
5) Submitted property papers (2 properties) in my mom’s name
6) No income proof for my mom or myself submitted
7) Mom had a decent travel history to US and other countries (around 15 international trips)

As per experts on the forum I should have not even applied for the TRV forget the approval.

Yay ! Congratulations. The senior members reckon they’re the Subject Matter experts on all pertaining to Canadian visas.

Did you file a paper-based or an online application?

Thanks and may I ask if you have provided her air tickets as well?

I am in the same situation as you. Not landed yet but want to apply for my parents' visa so they can visit me soon after I've landed. Parents are pensioners and have traveled to Australia and Japan. They have a UK visa as well now. Was dissuaded by some seniors to not apply before I land but I am not convinced that I shouldn't.

Hi, did you provide air tickets and hotel bookings with the paper application??

Yes I did provide the tickets. Did a dummy ticket (6 months). I am somehow not that convinced with the advice given by so called seniors on this part of the CV forum.

The advice freaked me out to be honest and even made me rethink my own immigration. It is one thing to be so far away from family and quire another to not be able to see them.

May I ask where you got the tickets done? And how did you manage her stay details since you wouldn't have them yet?

I could use some advice on applying for my parents because I've become very confused. Appreciate your response
