Has your biometrics been completed? Reckon it’d be good for you to open a new thread for Jan applicants from India.Visitor visa VFS paper application New Delhi
Visa application, tracking ID No.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX has been received and is under process at the IRCC Office on 2019/01/09
Waiting.....
Sad- just hope you get a positive outcome ASAP.Still waiting - IRCC remains unpredictable even in TRV process.
Yay ! Congratulations. The senior members reckon they’re the Subject Matter experts on all pertaining to Canadian visas.Got the Passport request for my mom. Really happy. Just to bust some of the myths here:
1) I am a recently approved PR and have not done landing and mentioned the reason of visit as she will be accompanying us for landing and stay thereafter
2) I applied TRV for my widowed mother
3) Clearly stated that I need my mom to stay for around 6 months and she will be accompanying me once I do landing
4) submitted just the letter from bank and showed a balance of around 35000 CAD in my mom account
5) Submitted property papers (2 properties) in my mom’s name
6) No income proof for my mom or myself submitted
7) Mom had a decent travel history to US and other countries (around 15 international trips)
As per experts on the forum I should have not even applied for the TRV forget the approval.
Haven’t submitted it yet- they’d do it tomorrow.@Jakev how much-time did NDVO take to return the passport back?

Yes I did provide the tickets. Did a dummy ticket (6 months). I am somehow not that convinced with the advice given by so called seniors on this part of the CV forum. Thanks and may I ask if you have provided her air tickets as well?
I am in the same situation as you. Not landed yet but want to apply for my parents' visa so they can visit me soon after I've landed. Parents are pensioners and have traveled to Australia and Japan. They have a UK visa as well now. Was dissuaded by some seniors to not apply before I land but I am not convinced that I shouldn't.
The advice freaked me out to be honest and even made me rethink my own immigration. It is one thing to be so far away from family and quire another to not be able to see them.Yes I did provide the tickets. Did a dummy ticket (6 months).
