Timeline - Online Application for TRV in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Hello guys, this forum has been very useful for me, so I decided to share my timeline during my application for TRV in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I am Saudi Citizen and applied for Multiple Entry Visa.

Time for Online Application: 16-Sep-2013
Time for Passport Request Letter: 1-Oct-2013
Passport Submitted to VAC: 1-Oct-2013
Passport Collected from VAC stamped with Visa: 3-Oct-2013

The whole process took exactly 9 working days ( which is less than the processing time announced in the CIC website " 12 Days") , considering that there was 2 days holiday for the Saudi National Day.

My experience with the online application was very smooth with no complications what so ever, you would also have the advantage of having your passport with you ( I had to travel during my application process and needed the passport).

My experience with VAC in Riyadh was outstanding, they took only ONE day to deliver the passport to the Embassy and get back for me, I think it is way faster than courier mail.

My experience:

Sept 10= Online application sent
Sept 30 = Received CIC verdict! (Application Rejected!)
Reason: (1) Immigration Status / Identity- my 2 year contract will end on January 26, 2014 and I'm planning
to recontract again. Why Identity?
(2) family ties - I have no family in Canada. I will just take the evaluation exam for Nurses
(3) funds - I have around 3000 dollars in my account

I included a cover letter explaining why I need to go to Toronto and that I will surely come back because I have work here in Riyadh.

Requirements submitted:
Payslip for 6 months
Bank statement
Approved leave from employer
Certificate of Employment
Visiting Visa Certificate (from personnel)
Itinerary of tours I want to visit
Option form from Canadian Nurses of Ontario that I should take the evaluation exam in Toronto
Ready for Exam status on my International Nurse Account that I am ready for exam on Nov. 22
Land title on my name
Business permit from the Philippines (including mayor's permit of my small store)
Stamps from previous travel
Iqama (residence permit) and translation in English
Hotel Booking
Cover letter explaining the reason of my travel

Congratulations on getting your TRV so fast. Can I ask:

1) Did you apply via CIC website?
2) If not, where did you apply online?

I am trying to apply online for Multiple Entry Visa but it seems I only have the Single Entry Visa option.
Your help is appreciated.
