Here is my timeline, If you wish to share, please do so. Maybe in this way, we can able to know the things are going around these days. Like last of the year 2021 if you started your journey to a new life of patience. It's a humble request to share those. Please !!!

Here is my timeline
Came CANADA through Pearson Airport: 03 Nov 2021
Meet my lawyer: 12 Nov 2021
I submit my application: 15 Dec 2021
Got Acknowledgement of Claim (AOC): 20 Dec 2021
Did 1st Medical: 22 Dec 2021
Did 2nd Medical: 18 Jan 2022 (repeated for some error)
Biometric: 23 February 2022
Eligibility Interview: 05 March 2022
I will update when I have something new to do so.
My lawyer submitted my WP application on the date of submission of the application (Refugee Claim),
My Eligibility Interview was on 05 March 2022, Still, I did not get any WP,
I don't know how the check the status of that? Any idea where I can inquire or track my WP? TIA

Hi the timeline are not sustainable, I came through Montreal, I had my biometrics and claim handed to me. I have my eligibility interviewed scheduled for September 9 months waiting. I have sent my medical and still waiting to hear from IRCC.

you cannot check status of work permit it arrives in mail usually 1-2 months after. Everything is slow nowadays might take longer

That isn’t requesting for expedited hearing. This is essentially a cancellation list with no guarantees you will ever be contacted.

You are so full of wrong info almost on every thread. As a claimant back then I opened a cic account and linked my paper application to the cic account and it worked. Why won’t they be able to track it? Once u have a UCI u can track anything.

I got the letter on the 8th of April 2022, stating that "your WP has been approved and has been mailed"
and then I don't know. Still nothing by post.

Mine took 2 weeks after I received that letter..

I came through Pearson Airport: 27 Jan 2022 and applied for refugee, did the biometric and got Acknowledgement Of Claim (AOC) in the airport.

At the airport the officer ask me if I need WP, I said yes.
Now I'm waiting for 2nd interview to get the brown paper.

My concern here;
1- Do I need to apply for WP or it will come automatically with the brown paper.

2- Is there any one tried to open bank account or apply for driving licence or to open medical file with AOC, because I'm planning to do it and I didn't get the brown paper yet.

When you fill the form there is a question, do you need a work permit and you have to answer yes. Also they will ask this question again on eligibility interview

You can open a bank account but you will need refugee claimant document or work permit. Driving license you will need address proof and also work permit. If you got acknowledgement of claim letter, then you are eligible for medical coverage under IFHP
