Timeline Medical Deferral - Pregnancy

Hey guys,

Has anyone gone through medical deferral? Ours is a spousal outland sponsorship, and we are expecting. Together with our doctor, we have decided to postpone the x-ray to after delivery, which is in 6 months. We got SA, BIL and MR and our file is headed to the Paris visa office.

Can anyone share their timeline from the day of submission of the delayed x-ray? We would like to determine whether they put the whole thing on hold, or they sort of finish all the steps and wait for that last document, which is the x-ray.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Biometrics Instruction letter received September 3rd
Medical done (with pregnancy deferral letter) September 15 (** but I don't think CIC received it as it has not been completed**
Sponsor approval letter September 22, saying case moved from CPC-Sydney to CPC-Ottawa
Quebec undertaking application sent Sep23
Biometrics done October 15
Quebec CSQ received November 2nd
Request letter by IRCC to get a copy of CSQ November 16
Quebec CSQ sent to IRCC November 17
Pre arrival services letter November 19
and a waiting game from here....

What next?
Any idea when confirmation of PR is expected?
Can we get confirmation of PR if medical has not been completed because of pregnancy?
It's a bit annoying as we can't get health coverage unless we have confirmation of PR

No confirmation until the medical is done. Once she finishes the medical it may be up to a few months to get COPR. Depending on your status you'll need to add the baby which will definitely take a few months.
