"
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your message. Please note that your file is currently undergoing routine background checks. Whilst we appreciate that your medical examination results are due to expire on 26/03/2014, we are currently unable to advise when the checks will be completed. Please note that no further action is required from you at this stage. We will contact you as soon as the results of the background checks have been received.

It varies alot from case to case. Some get completed background/security checks in 2-3 months, some get in 4-5 months, whereas, others have to wait more longer. Average is around 3-4 months for PPR after Meds.

Note that background checks are not performed by VO itself but security agencies & so, VO is wise to mention that they are unable to mention any time frame for such checks completion.

Good luck.

Dear phdmaker,

Thanks for sharing information about timeline after medical but I would like to clear one thing that What does they mean by background/security checks at this stage ???

If background/security checks mean degrees / work experience they do it before sending medical request & if it is totally related with interpretation of medical results it is a quite long time to wait for.

However if medical is ok should I expect confirm PPR request.

Thanks,

I second.

Also, security checks are regardless whether your app. is from any MI category.

Wait atleast for 2 months from date of your meds done and then send CSI for enquiring updated status.

By the way, I have received PPR-1 in just after 46 days from meds done and I am from MI-1.

Goof luck.

Dear first I will explain medical conditions below & after that I will discuss my medical experience.

"M1 : No medical impediments to be admitted
M2 : A condition (disease or disorder) of no risk for the public health and not enough to deny admission, but which should be taken into consideration along with other social and personal factors.
M3 : A condition (disease or disorder) which possible social service costs are not enough to deny admission, but which should be taken into consideration along with other social and personal factors.
M4 : A condition that may be dangerous for public health, so the applicant is inadmissible. However, a new application and possible admission is possible after certain treatment..
M5 : A condition (disease or disorder) which possible social service costs are such that the applicant is inadmissible at present. A new application and possible admission is possible after certain treatment..
M6 : A condition (disease or disorder) that is dangerous for public health with no possible treatment that may allow for the applicant admission in the future.
M7 : A condition (disease or disorder) that may demand an excessive social services cost and that seems to have no possible treatment."

I was operated for C-6,C-7 disc grafting in neck region in 2008 due to an accident & some plates are visible in X-ray. I am 100% fit & running my family smoothly. I have 3 kids.I lift them and play with them as normal & I don't remember about that surgery.

During my medical after my X-Ray the boy who did my chest X-ray came to me & inquired that you do have some surgery in your neck. I said yes I do. I asked him that does it affect my case. He said no. I also discussed this surgery with Dr.who did my check up & filled my forms. I showed her my previous hospital reports. She just noted everything & asked me do you feel any pain or are you using some medicines, I said no.
Upon my further inquiry she said no problem. People do have surgeries.

Is their any Dr. or expert who can advise me that under which medical condition my case is???

I personally think that it shouldn't create any problem for my medical approval INSAHALLAH.
