Timeline for medical exam with Syphilis positive

Just to provide some information on my medical exam for EE while I have syphilis so that people with similar situation can have a peace of mind.

11/22/23 AOR
01/10/24 I had a STI exam myselft and found Syphilis positive with titie 1:2
01/11 Received medical request. I did not get treatment immediately because I want to know what the panel physician says about the process.
01/17 Had the medical exam and disclosed the situation. The doctor told me to start treatment immediately and provide him with proof of treatment later.
01/17 Had my first penecilin shot
01/19 Canada medical lab came back with Syphilis positive as expected.
01/24 Had second penecilin shot
01/31 Had third penecilin shot
02/01 Went back to clinic. Had a second round lab test only for syphilis and submitted the proof of treatment.
02/05 Doctor submitted emedical with lab results and treatment proof
02/14 Medical exam passed in GCkey

Hey, I’m having similar situation. But currently on the post-ITA stage, getting documents ready, was tested poz for syphilis, already received treatment as per Canadian guidelines. What should I answer in the Statutury Questions for “have ever had serious disease or mental disorder?”

Hi, I can only provide some suggestion based on my opinon, which is not legal advise Since syphilis is not like HIV which can lead to rejection of the application, I think you can say no.
But my case is little different tho since I did not know that I contracted the bacteria when I got my AOR

I was diagnosed with syphilis at the end of 2023 and received treatment with a penicillin injection as advised by my doctor. I am now applying for a visa in 2025, with my wife sponsoring me through spousal sponsorship.

Do I need to disclose this information before the medical examination?

Please advise.
