Timeline for LMO (updated)

I got Positive LMO today by fax. my boss applied in April 20th and then had a mistake and reapplied in April 26th. so took 4 weeks.
Service Canada called our company 2 time asking questions. that made my boss crazy. anyway, they asked so many questions like what kind of job i am doing etc.
finally, they faxed 4 pages of papers. i am wondering which pages will be sent to Vegraville(Case processing center)? and also service Canada said, send this positive LMO to the CIC. do you think that will help my CEC?

Congrats on the postive LMO! Just photocopy or scan the whole thing, you need to send it with your work permit application.

It will not affect your CEC application. You were either qualified at the time of application, or you weren't. But at least you don't have to leave during processing.

The thing is that LMO was checking my job category and finalized to NOC XXX3. but what i did myself was NOC XXX1. there was a slightly different. LMO said to my boss, tell CIC(Seattle) that my NOC was finalized. i don't know what to do.
Do LMO and CIC communicate each other? LMO has higher power over CIC? once i extend my work permit, should i send copy of my new work permit to CIC(Seattle)?

Hey - Without looking at the 2 NOC descriptions, I'm not sure what to tell you - you can PM me the actual NOC codes if you like. It is probably OK. Happened one time to me as well, HRSDC put the wrong NOC code on my LMO, bu it was similar to what I was doing; when I called them they said don't worry about it. Of course, I haven't been approved yet, but it's not an exact science...

but yes, HRSDC and CIC do talk, but this new LMO / work permit is AFTER you qualified. You are not required to send the new work permit, but it won't hurt, either... would give you a reason to inquire about the status of your application -

Hi you should have your boss call LMO and see where they are at. any phonecall to your boss? additioanl document require? probably 4-5 weeks max. i am in BC so sopnt sure in Sask.

Hi, Congrat that you got your LMO. I am going through it too, and really afraid if I will get a native letter.
My boss has never done it before. Do you know what your boss did for you? What application form did you use? I found one is EMP5517, is that the one? When we fax the application form, do we need to fax my PWGP work permit and T4 as well? Do we also need to fax my company's business licence? Do we need to attach a letter let LMO Department know I am working for company already? Sorry for so many questions. I am so worried about my situation that I won't get my work permit renewed. I am not sure how long the CED gonna take, but I want to wait in Canada. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.

yes i used emp5517 with cover letter. my boss wrote something situation about company why we need this applicant.
i work for this company for 3 years with PGWP, so no need for proof of advertizing anyways, ask your boss to write a cover letter what you are valuable for the company. in 2 weeks they tell you what you need to send. in your work contarct, your job discription have to be good enough. sorry have to go i tell you later.

Thank you so much. Looking forward to hearing more from you. So, in the cover letter, my boss has to explain why they hire me instead of a local person? I'm a bookkeeper, I think it's gonna be hard to make me special, eh? It makes me so depressed. Why we can't just simply renew the work permit like study permit.

Hi don't get so depressed. canada is short handed and need workers. the point to focus on the cover letter is you are so reliable, lots of experience, good english, trustworthy, your capability, company doesn't want to hire new person..etc just anything your boss can add.
you can give it try. if you already applied for PR, or intend to apply, you should say that too.

hi guys my boss finally agreed to do LMO after two months. I have 1 week left now and so we ushed to do the fom yesterday. So, when we faxed it, he only put the form completed and signed; a copy of job description fom his advertisment; i told him that he needs to add a copy of my pgwp to show my status.
But since returning home i have a feeling we should have put a letter and a copy of my contract.. hope I'm wrong cz we followed what Services Canada agent said to us on the phoone. Plz confirm we did it right folks!!

you don't need a letter, in fact don't need to show recruitment efforts (because you were on a PGWP). You should be OK... Remember to submit your work permit application before your current permit expires, even if you don't have the response on the LMO yet...
