Hi all! Just want to share my landing experience...we took the flt of PAL 7pm dep and arrived vancouver 4pm and we are suppose to take the flt frm vancouver to winnipeg at 7pm unfortunately there are many of us on the line and we did not know that after transfering to the new immigrant section for the SIN, we need to get a number, in short naiwan kame ng flt. There are two of us na naiwan. Me and husband decided to take the flt via edmonton to calgary and as of the moment we are still at the airport of Edmonton at 1am and waiting for our flt that will leave at 6am. Huh! What a journey but happy...finally! We are now pR holder of Canada!
Lesson don't take the risk of getting our flt instead get the flt of PAL that leaves manila at 3pm. The other guy who was left also is still at the airport waiting for his flt to winnipeg later at 9am so, he has to stay at vancouver airport and wait for almost 13hrs.

hi! I also booked my flt via PAL Vancouver. I specifically requested the travel agency to book us more than 4 hrs for the next flt to Winnipeg. He did booked me for Air Canada with 6hrs waiting time at the Vancouver airport. Do you think 6 hours would be enough for immigration purposes? I cannot afford to miss the flt to Winnipeg since we are travelling with kids.

Personally, I brought only 10k in combination of cash and cheques. Distributed across me and my wife, is was 5k each so no need to declare any amount at PH Immigration. At PoE, Customs only asked if I was bringing in in excess of 10K, to which I replied no and told them I have 5k in cash and cheques. They just looked at m y de sirclaration and verified what I said against what I checked off in the declaration.
