hello to all, hi to ever reliable sir ragluf ;D


we are doing our landing on april. i already bought tickets and got a PAL direct flight from manila to vancouver.

our ETD is 7:00pm and will arrive in Vancouver on the same day but 4:00pm? ive computed the travel time and was surprised that it will take us 21 hrs !?

my questions are:

1) Since there is a time zone difference between manila and vancouver, is it literal that we will travel for 21 hrs? im confused ???

2) although PAL has given us a direct flight, does this mean that we will be in the air for 21hrs? or there will still be some landing done ,say for refueling?

Manila is ahead by 16 hours with Vancouver...therefore when you're leaving PH at 7:00pm (1900 hrs), it means that it's 0300 hours in Vancouver or 3:00 am of the same day. If you're arriving at 4:00pm (1600 hours) same day in Vancouver, travel time will be 13 hours ;D.

@ ramcal - follow what ad123464 advised. Also, note departure and arrival times are normally given in the local time. So your departure in Manila is given in local (Philippine Standard Time) and your arrival is given in Vancouver (Pacific Standard Time) local time.

I queried PR 116 which is the flight that corresponds to your ETD and ETA.

Manila (MNL) to Vancouver (YVR) -
Philippine Airlines, Inc. Philippine Airlines, Inc. 116 Dep: 7:00PM Arr: 4:00PM 12h 0m Boeing 777

Your flight time is 12hrs as I highlighted in red.

Don't worry, masasanay ka din - sa lawak ng Canada, there are 6 different time zones

San po yung tracking sheet for 2013...I am listed at the 2012 sheet pero hindi naman na update yung status ko dun...my initial application back in Jun 2013 has been rejected due to missing documents...then I resubmitted and received nomination in May 2013, I submitted docs to NS-CIO Nov 2013 a few days before my nomination cert expiration (don't ask!!)

Currently waiting for AOR so we can send our police certificates...anyone who has submitted the same sort of time? How much time further do we have to wait for the AOR?

mine was received by cio last november 1, and i got an email from them on december 13 containing the AOR-CIO.. just keep the faith and your turn will come..

now i'm waiting for medical request, hopefully all of us will be there in due time.

thanks itguy...judging from the dates you've listed here, I should be getting my AOR 1month and 12 days after my package has been delivered to CIO...which is roughly 2-3 days from now....
