The Singapore police clearance is the last thing they will ask from you. Once natapos nyo na medical nyo, a month later they will ask for additional documents thru email. You will receive a personal history form that you and your spouse need to fill up about your whereabouts (and your spouse's as well) since graduation in college till the last job na na-declare ninyo sa kanila doon sa mga unang dokumentong sinumite mo sa CIC -- included sa email are some forms addressed to Singapore police here in Cantonment, and 10 days lang nasa Canadian Embassy (CEM) na yung police clearance ninyo. You won't be able to get the police clearance not unless you hold this letter. Madali na yang part na yan. Walang pila dito sa Cantonment police centre, and $50sgd ang bayad. After 10 days, you can verify sa kanila if they were able to send it sa CEM. You know how the queueing up system here is brilliant, so once you process that, walang sweat. How is it dito sa Phil embassy natin?
Keep in mind that if you have any other countries you lived for more than 6 months since you graduated from college, kumuha ka na ng police clearance from that country. Dyan ako natagalan dahil after I graduated, I lived in Malaysia (primero kasi hindi naman hiningi ng Canada yung nineteen kopong kopong history ko) and unfortunately, heto ang last requirement sa amin, personal history pag ka graduate till Sept 2001 (yung ang initial date na delcared namin sa mga unang papers na submitted) at ang saklap niyan, ang Malaysian embassy, nagbibigay ng police clearance after 2-3 months. That's why I'm still here in SG waiting for the police clearance in snail mail which will arrive in 2 months tops, as I write. But I'll be tendering my resignation next month po, because we need 1 month notice dito sa work. Only dito sa SG ang humihingi ng letter from the embassy before they can issue you the police clearance, same process with US immigration. Yung kasama ko sa work, she wanted to get police clearance in advance, kaso hiningan siya ng letter from the US embassy requiring the reason for getting the police clearance.
