Hi! Ako po nanggaling ng Qatar. Nakuha namin in 2 months..dito kasi kami nag apply kasi dito na kami naka based nung nag apply kami for Canada. Pero sa iba 3 months inabot doon, may constant lang na nag follow -up for me doon.

Kelan kaya mag start yung "within 6 months"? Time of application or time of visa stamping?

Binigay namin yung passport namin kay misis sa Canada. Sinubmit nya sabay sabay samin tatlo. However po, di naman yata sila kaagad agad nagtatatak diba and sa trend ng bagal ng papers ngayon, baka abutin ako after September 17, 2016 bago makarating sa nag stamp ng visa. Yun lang po talaga ang worry ko. Or susundin nila yung date received ng CIC dun sa passport na na-mail ni misis?

Ngayun ko lang narinig na hinihingi daw ng Immigration officer ng Airport ang mga documents ng vaccinations ng mga family na papasok ng canada. ito ang sinasabi ng isa sa mga doctors na nasa list ng panel of physicians for medical requirements ng immigration.

Bukod sa confirmation of apartment lease/tenancy contract (bumukod kc kami agad from.day 1) and hydro (electricity) contracts, SIN, health insurance, Manitoba Identification Card, Bank deposits and credit/ debit cards applications, at home internet, cable & phone connections and Manitoba Start registration pa lang ang mga naasikaso ko for the pass 4 days... sabay din kc ang mga groceries, bili ng mga winter clothes & gamit sa apartment, at meet and greet w friends d2 Winnipeg.
Napaka hectic.
... next week ko inisched ung Canada Child Care Benefits Application, Rent Assist Application, Pharmacare Application, at mobile phone and data service application. Aasikasuhin ko na sana bukas, however saturday at sunday, walang offices...

Natatagalan akong mag apply ng mobile phone service (w/c is important 4 job application), 'coz the mobile phone service providers here require me to provide at least 2 CAD issued ID's. They asked for a copy of my COPR, credit card, or SIN. Being new, I can only provide the COPR... and, the SIN - w/c is ill-adviced by my sponsor... bangko lang daw at work acctng/hr offices ang mga usually binibigyan ng SIN... pwede kc ito magamit sa fraud...once they have it, they'll have access to all of my credit/gov't benefit history... So, unless I'm willing to take the risk at ibigay na agad ung SIN ko, I'll have to wait to acquire the other posible ID's for submission.
...kaya ako kumuha ng $20 CAD worth na Manitoba ID Card from MPI (Manitoba Public Insurance) - the same agency that issues driver's license...balak ko nga rin sanang isabay na mag pasched ng written exam for our driver's license, but i was adviced to first review and prepare for it by my sponsor. The MB ID Card, being a gov't issued ID w/ pic, may be provided instead of SIN, in case "alanganin" kang ibigay ang SIN sa mga humuhingi nito.

hi go north... landed August 8 here in Manitoba. by second day we had our Manitoba health card already. Regarding sa bank account, Pinas pa lang may account na kami and after a week pumasok na ung natransfer namin from Pinas. on the second week we had our credit card already as well as our mobile number. Nasend na rin namin ung sa child care benefits my hubby just had his written exam for his drivers license and buti naman nakapasa. by September yung road exam

Sa immigration naman wala masyado tinanong. they just ask if ano status nmin magasawa so we just answered married and yun lang tinanong. matagal lang waiting time kasi dami tao nung dumating kami.

Rule of thumb, allow yourself at least 3-4 hours layover to be safe. 2 hours or less is risking it.

Tanong ko lang po kung meron po na same situation sa akin.. Nagchange po kasi ng ownership tong restaurant na pinatatrabahuhan ko eh may AOR na po ako at open work permit pero ung PR application ko po ay based sa AINP EDS.. Ano po kaya pwede ko gawin?

Isa s mga thread kasi parang nasabi n certified true copy ipadala kahit english na ung document e.g. passport copy, birth certificate. Ready for submission na kasi ung application k s cic at nghesitate kasi may nabasa akong post s isa s mga thread dito.

just follow the checklist kung Original Copy or Photocopy ang needed. No need pa-certified true copy ung mga photocopied documents.
No need pa notarized ung mga written in english.
just stick to the cic plain and simple instruction ;D

"Another option is to go DFA ( Manila )- OUMWA ( Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs). They process police clearances from different countries of former OFW ..We actually got our police clearance from there..Just bring the passport with stamped visa."

Nabasa ko lang sa isang thread din dito. Nag-work kc aq sa Dubai for 1 yr & 6 mos. gusto ko sana macheck if nacancel visa ko or wala na yung banned ko. Paano kaya? Kasi 3 years contract ko nung nag vacation leave ako di na ko bumalik nag-resign lang ako tru e-mail. Ang laki kc ng hinihingi sakin non for breach of contract kaya di ko na binayaran pero mabanned daw ako. Sabi ng mga friends ko sa Dubai 6 mos. -1 year lang naman banned. April 4, 2014 aq umuwi ng Pinas. Gusto ko sana macheck kasi kukuha din aq ng police clearance don pag nirequest na ng CIC. 3 mos lang validity kaya chaka na ko kukuha pag nirequest na.
