ragluf said:None, but CIC does not issue a visa/entry document that exceeds the validity of the valid travel document (i.e. passport). So it recommended to have 6-12 months remaining in the PP, mostly to take advantage of maximizing the validity of the visa issued (and more time to prepare to embark on the relocation to Canada).
Consider that the expected validity duration of the visa is 1 year from medicals received and count the days until then. Let's say you have medicals done 10/31/2014, you'd expect the visa to be issued with validity dates up to 10/31/2015. It is already June, so 4months till the expected expiry of the visa. If your PP expiry is before Oct 31,2015 (let's say Sept 30, 2015), then expect your visa to be issued only up to Sept 30/15, and not up to Oct 31/15.

Thanks ragluf, for the information. Had finished my and my kids medical yesterday. IOM said they will submit to CEM within 7 to 14 days.
