Timeline for anyone applying for 1st Passport OUTSIDE of Canada?

Admittedly a guesstimate based on my own crappy experience with IRCC and some reports here when they asked their consulate, plus the High Commission’s website does say “approximately” themselves.

Well I received a response back from the High Commission today to simply say that it's in processing.....no approximate time for completion given so I've emailed them back.

I know there's a backlog but the fact that we can't even monitor or check the application status online from wherever we apply for the passport then that's ridiculous.

Thanks for getting back to me and admittedly I'd probably agree with you as to adding on extra 4-8 on top of the 8 that I've waited already.

It took me 9.5 weeks for my passport to reach me....UK application

Not received it yet...this Wednesday will be 8 weeks bang on to when they received my application at the London High Commission and I'll be sending them an email chasing them up. Documents wise:

- Application form (which also needs to be signed by guarantor and provide 2 references details)
- 2 Passport pics (signed and dated by guarantor and stamped by studio)
- Copy of Passport (that's for instance my UK Passport copy - Signed by guarantor)
- Copy of ID (i.e. Drivers License - signed by guarantor)
- Proof of payment
- Original Citizenship Certificate

I believe that was everything.

@Dalboy1980 I am in the same situation. For copy of ID did you use UK Drivers license or Canadian one (if you still had it)?
