Firstly apologies for asking something that has probably been asked hundreds of times, I couldn't find it and want a definitive answer.

If I am granted an express entry visa how long would I have before I had to enter the country? Or is it that I would need to spend 2 years over a 5 year period within the country?

Many thanks in advance

Normally, Canada PR visa is vaild for 1 year from the applicant's Medical Examination date and the applicant must enter into Canada (as a landed immigrant) before this expiry date. The PR card will be delivered to applicant's address within 100 days after landing. The PR card is valid for 5 years.. To renew the PR card, the PR Card holder has to stay in Canada for a period of at least 2 years (may not be continuous) in next 5 years, otherwise the applicant has to re-apply for PR visa and follow the same process for EE again..
