Friends, I need your advise on time taken for PR formalities. I want to come to Canada with family and apply for PR and leave once this formaility is completed. I will give some local address who will get the PR cards and later send to us. Please advise what is the minimum time required to fill the PR, submit and complete the initial formalities ?

It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to do the landing procedure.

In principle, does it mean that we can return back immediately after or are they are other formalities to be completed before we can leave the country ?

You can leave the country on the same day if you so wish. The day you land as a PR will be registered and from that day, you must meet the residency requirements of spending at least 730 days in Canada in the first 5 years and after that in any rolling 5 year period.
