time taken to add new dependent to application

Hi folks,

I have posted this earlier, but did't got a response. Can someone help me here. I want to add my new born kid who was born outside Canada to the PR application. I received my MR couple of days back. We( with my wife) want to complete our medicals together with the kid. I want to know how much time it will take to add the new dependent to the application and receive the MR?

There is no definite answer to this, BUT, irrespective of the time, you are SUPPOSED to let CIC to know about the new born and include the baby to the application, do that first.

I added my kid to application last month. Along with the application I put in a request (in Cover Letter) to issue MR for my KID if possible so that we can do the medicals together. I received MR for my kid the next day documents were received by CEC. Also I received an additional email saying my documents were received & MR was issued for my Kid. In this mail they also told me to contact CIC by replying to the email just incase the MR was not received.
