I AM PRIME APPLICANT WHILE MY WIFE IS CO APPLICANT

I just now discovered that name of my father in law's name on my marriage certificate carries his nick name after his actual name. He used to add nick name before. To illustrate his name on marriage certificate is mentioned as sukhdev singh "sukh" while his actual name as per his passport is sukhdev singh malhotra. Further, his name is mentioned as sukhdev singh on my wife's educational documents. My wife also had two separate names before and after marriage agaisnt which we submitted name change affidavit wherein her father's name has been written as sukhdev singh

Also the address written on marriage certificate mentions my father in law's address as house no. xxx-B, abc apartments, Sector 68 chandigarh.

But his address as per my wife's passport is house no. xxx, block B, abc apartments, sector 68, Mohali.

Please note that sectors in mohali are nothing but extension of sectors in chandigarh, hence both these addresses are one and the same. But will be understood by only those people who live in and around chandigarh.

Can somebody please tell me if the above mentioned discrepancies are bound to cause rejection in my case?

Secondly, it has been almost 4 months since I applied (25/11/2015). Medicals got cleared in next 2 days. If above mentioned discrepancies are very serious flaws so as to cause rejection, isn't it the rejection letter would have reached me long ago. It has been four months now. Is it possible to receive rejection letter after 4 months of application.

Please guide.

When you are waiting for PR, they say no news is good news. Don't worry, hopefully everything would be ok or else IRCC would have raised additional document request.

All the Best.

Hmm. Thanks a lot Sir.

But what does the trend say?

If there's any discrepancy related to the documents being submitted for PR, in general how many days CIC normally takes to reject the Application?

CIC has no limitation on earliest or latest rejection date. This is not regulated. CIC may reject anyone at any stage if found someone ineligible. Few years ago FSW was a long process and ppl got rejected after 2-3 years of waiting. But you should not worry. CIC usually does not reject on the reason you described.

I do not believe CIC to reject for what differences you mentioned, those are documents issued by the local governing agency and thus not contributing to the points you claimed. CIC needs truthful and accurate information.

However, unless you notice those earlier you can clarify them by giving so in the letter of explanation and this can help feel safe.

Correction: your spouse is called dependent not co applicant, and you are the primary applicant.

CIC commits the processing time is 6 months or less, so your passing time is within normal and you should not be worried. you can raise CSE after 6 months on the CIC website.

Stayed calm and expect the good to come...
