Time processing for Spousal Sponsorship Application

Hello, I submitted my wife's PR application and my spousal sponsorship application the first week of January 2020. How long does it take to get the letter mailed to your house from IRCC with the application tracking number, so you can start tracking your application online?

Read the first few pages...Add your name to the Spreadsheet.

technically. you'd get an email if you entered your name correctly. If you haven't already...I might call as people in FEB are also getting AOR1 (Read the notes in the link above) already.

Assume you may have paid for tracking to know the application was receive. There is no point calling unless it take 3+ months to get AOR. This is a long process with lots of time where you will no hear anything from CIC.

Hello, I submitted my wife's PR application and my spousal sponsorship application (with open work permit request) and the courier was received at CIC Mississauga center on December 23, 2019. I have not received any acknowledgement from CIC regrading the application number. Is there a thread were I can find the timelines for receiving an acknowledgement ?

My wife's visitor status is set to expire in May 12, 2020. We have already submitted the spousal sponsorship complete application package with the open work-permit application. The courier delivered the application on January 8, 2020. IRCC sent as an acknowledgment of receipt email on March 3, 2020, we are tracking the application online since then. My question is, even though I have already applied for a change of immigration status for my wife though the open work-permit application, should I apply for an extension of her visitor status in Canada just to be safe, while we wait for her open work permit to come? Thank you,
