time needed for OWP

hello everyone

im a british bangladeshi, born in bangladesh and naturalised in the UK. i came to canada as a visitor june 2017 and married my long term gf in oct 2017 and applied for PR and OWP nov 2017. no criminal records and second marriages for both of us.

my questions are: how long does the OWP take? and also if i have get denied then is there a way i can appeal?

~4mos. It will be approved, as long as you filed for an inland PR. There is only a very small chance that it won't be approved, providing there is a PR app.

the dates above should all be 2016. yes i applied PR and OWP at the same time

i came here using my british passport and so from july 2016 i had 6 months visa.. initially my lawyer said that before jan 2017 i would have to extend my visitors visa, but recently he said that i dont need to extend anymore because of something called an implied status..

will appreciate if you could give me somelight in this matter

As long as they received your application (with the OWP application) before your current status expires, you are ok. Yes. implied status is a thing with the OWP applications or any type of visitor or work extension. It just means you have status until you receive a result from, in your case, the OWP app. If you are worried you can always apply separately for a visitor extension.

As long as they received your application (with the OWP application) before your current status expires, you are ok. Yes. implied status is a thing with the OWP applications or any type of visitor or work extension. It just means you have status until you receive a result from, in your case, the OWP app. If you are worried you can always apply separately for a visitor extension.

If your current status expires before you send it away, the OWP application, Box 3 allows you to restore your status as a worker. You'll have to pay the $200 to restore as well as the $255 OWP + OWP holder fee.

Thanks. My current status will expire in Jan 2017 and I have already sent the PR and OWP application on Nov 2017
