She can apply, but there is no guarantee that she would be let in. If she is you would have to pay for delivery and pregnancy related medical costs as visitors are not covered under any provincial health insurance schemes.

Yes. And it costs a lot. My Vietnamese friend (a visitor) delivered her child in Canada had to pay a large amount of money as her insurance schemes did not cover that kind of "sickness".

no man, that will slow your process. They have no mercy at all. They do this to my relatives in Bangladesh whose visa office was singapore. They said let the baby pop out first then apply again with his/her birth certificate. Your application also was near end as I see your time line. I believe you did submit your medical with your application. Just apply for TRV I guess and bear all the cost for delivery.

you can apply outland and if she is asked for the interview, you can postpone it using her pregnancy as a reason.

it didn't slow our process and didn't do it faster either. but they waived the interview.

They already have doubts about the relationship (probably) that is the reason for the interview, they know the applicant is pregnant, so it is extremely unlikely, almost nil that any TRV would be issued.

So PMM what can he do to bring his wife to Canada? Do you know is there any other option he can use beside waiting until August 2010? Thanks

my wife is pregnant as well...she's due to deliver in Feb...but the difference i guess between both our cases is that...she's in canada..and is sponsoring me...

we even included a letter from the doc that she needs me to be there through the childbirth and everything as she's dead nervous..

apparently she even emailed them back in missisauga to stress that she's pregnant and she needs me there..she told me that the canadian government gives emphasis to children and infants..

but doesn't seem to be the case...

my file is in process in Singapore since Nov 11 2009...and no news as yet...i guess i'm still well within the timeline but it's more then certain i won't be with her during the child birth...

it's painful and i can understand what ur going through...we can only pray to Lord to put some mercy in their hearts....and understand those genuine cases of genuine relationships...
