Hi ,
How many days took to get RCMP certificate and when background started and updated in system?

Well from the time I did it, it took up to 40 days to get it. I haven't get any updates that it was received or not.

It’s means after submitting fingerprints to update on IRCC website background completed it took 40 days?

No that's not what I meant, I said that it took 40 days from the day I did my fingerprints for RCMP to actually send it. For IRCC I haven't got any updates from them. When I try linking it nothing shows that they received it.

Sorry to hear that am also facing the same problem I just try not to think about it because matter what we say or do the truth is that we can't change anything and the immigration them self can't even explain why they take some of the decisions they took.

From what I have red either they transferred the file to finalize it or the the case officer transferred to higher officer for further clarification. I have contacted my MP and IRCC replied “ JUST WAIT “ .

Hi, I am very new to this post, question for everyone..
1) Protected person in canada applying for PR and adding dependants from Afghanistan, they dont have passports due to the situation there, are those mandatory for travel ?

email them for the urgent process, they will issue emergenc visas for some i heard today. all cases from afghanistan are considered urgent now but u have to email them.

Is having lawyer on pr file making the process slower? Because all of my friends who applied later than me and got their permanent residency before me did not apply with lawyer, they applied themselves. I have lawyer and I still did not get anything. So I deleted my lawyer and linked my application myself. By the way they all received invitation to pre arrival services letter after they linked their account. But I don’t have such letter or message on my cic account. I have nothing in my cic account while one of them has approval letter and other friend has eligibility passed letter and medical passed letter. What is going on here? Did I make a mistake by applying with my lawyer? I am sure I will do my citizenship application myself.

You are good, don't worry it doesn't matter whether you are applied through lawyer or your self, I also applied with lawyer, and today only I removed him and linked my application with my account

I removed my lawyer too. Did you get any messages like invitation to pre arrival services? Most people who got their PRs received that message.
