its take to 1 month to your application start processing after they received
if you send it during covid 19 u should wait more
just in case i will let u know steps for checking ur status
before everything as a senior here lol i should advice u to you should be patient for 2 years normal processing, try to don't contact them because of nothing its useless and its not good for your application there .
and just keep your eyes on your email if they need any more information you send them immediately otherwise just do your job and don't focus on timeline if you do its spend hard for you

click on below link and fill your info and check ur status :
step 1 :
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?app=ecas&lang=en
step2: link your app to your cg key login

go to this url
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html
sign in with
Option 1: GCKey
if u dont have create one
after your signed in and you click on terms and each time you should answer security answers which u set when u registered your account
you should remember them always , after you signed in you can view all the applications you submitted.
if you can't see your permanent residency application you should add it by finding
Did you apply on paper or don't see your online application in your account? Add (link) your application to your account to access it and check your status online than its easy step by step process you should do your self you will ask for Category (required)Sub-category (required) and
Application details if you enter 1 tiny wrong or mistake information you will get error and system unable to add ur profile , so heads up enter all of your information address email application no as you sent to them in your PR app.

good luck

Thanks for your answer.
I did it on paper. I tried every ways but still nothing. When I wanted to add to link I got this message;
Link an existing application to this account

Based on the information you entered, we found no applications.
What do I do next?
You may have made a mistake entering your information. Go back and try to enter it again. You can only try to link an application five times in 24 hours.

I am March 2018. My bar says 100% complete but I haven’t heard anything yet. It says 20% applications take more than usual time

My child and I have exactly the same timeline as yours. I was only asked for PCC from a third country that I lived in over 6 months, in October.
Since then, I have not been asked for anything else. No medical or Criminal check by the RCMP or anything. My timeline bar shows 63% done as well.
What country are you from and did you get expedited process and approved through that or not?

They said 20 months even it's not true, why in very first place after refugees coming to here IRCC does NOT STARTING BACKGROUND Checking At very first place.
this Process toke 1-2 years for some people or maybe more, because verification for security check Step could be way complicated for them from middle eastern countries. What is sin of that poor refugee?!
They should change their SOP, the thing is this is The job of MP's, they should transfer or be our voice in Government parliament and IRRC, but the truth is they don't care, they Just check status and only Treating permanent residents and citizen.

Hi guys,
I have some news. @Onetv1 and I have talked to a friend who is a journalist in CBC.
She is very interested to write an article about our lives and project our issues such as long time waiting, being forgotten for months and years, etc.
She loves to talk with us and hear our stories.
Please anyone who likes to talk with her contact us to transfer your contact information to her and she will call you.
It is a very good opportunity for all of us to rise our voices.
I hope many of you be ready to talk.
Looking forward to hear from you.

Technicality question.

i filed my PR and am only in the received state. My dependent 19 yr old son living here in canada with me University needs any federal correspondence stating his name in order to qualify for a tuition decrease. The issue is at the time of our hearing he turned 18 a month prior so our cases were automatically separated. The claim was never centered on him so i was accepted and he was denied. We thought nothing of it considering he’s my son and included in my PR application anway

the problem now is he’s in a legal gap for things like tuition decrease, medicare card etc. Thankfully his school just needs any kind of correspondence with regards to our PR application that states his legal name to lower his tuition

my question is how soon did people here with families on their application did you start receiving letters with said family names on them. My application has only been received and were guessing the next stage of “opened and being processed” is when we can expect an ircc correspondence to state his name since at that point the government will start processing each individual pr card of all my dependents

is that correct?

Country of origin Afghanistan and we got a letter for the expedited process but did not hear back from the expedited option. Just got a second hearing date and our case was approved. But it was not approved through the expedited process as we never heard back from them.
How about yourself? Which country and approved through expedited process?
Thanks

you actually did get expedited processing. The letter tells you that you’ve been selected for expedited processing you don’t have to agree to it you are put into the expedited processing pile.
