Can a spouse (outbound) of a protected person still in the process of PR application apply for study permit? Or has anyone experienced instances where such was done? Please share.
Hi guys here’s my PR processing timeline as a Protected person.
Submitted PR May 27 2022
AOR June 7, 2022
Processing started Sept 6 2022 - Medical
Added application to GCKey Sept 24 2022
Pre-arrival letter June 30 2023
Eligibility passed letter June 30 2023
Portal Email August 15 2023
Submitted photo and address August 17 2023
eCOPR August 22 2023

Submitted PR May 27 2022
Document request by local visa office (Dakar) July 7 2023
Medical Request July 24 2023
Medical Completed Aug 14 2023
Pre-arrival letter August 24 2023
Passport Request 8 September 2023
Visa issued September 15 2023
Apparently when you received your Eligibility letter your application should be finalized/approved within 2 months. Dependents file gets sent to local visa office after Eligibility passed and processing for family reunion is expedited currently. My wife got her application approved within a month of me becoming a PR.

Yes but the question is Why applying for study permit while PR application in process?
Then you should select no and if asked, provide reason as Passport seized by IRCC and it is expired
Hi, Friends my PR application for protected person is in process. My family living overseas have processes their Biometrics and Police certificate already.I am living in Canada for about 2 years.
My question is do I also have to provide my Police Certificate for my time spent in Canada as main applicant.

As long as it was valid as at the time is was seized, but yes; all the same, you wouldn't certainly be needing it again though,
If it is the police report they would need to give you what you are waiting for, don't think twice Bro, go get. I was asked to provide FBI report in July because I stayed in the US for past a year, I provided it rapidly, and it has now shown on my profile that it has been received. After I submitted it, those guys didn't upload it until I had to call just last week, and it was uploaded that same day.
What is your timeline, Bro? Mine is November 2022, medical passed while all others in progress.
Just wanted her to begin her studies now instead of waiting till PR arrives. The processing time for PP is excruciating and unreasonable.
I applied paper based PR in January 2023 with family who are overseas in Pilot Program.
AOR received in June 2023.Linked my application in July 2023. Family members got their Biometric and PCC done in Aug 2023.
Since then no update...I haven't spent anytime more than 6 months in any other country except my home country.
Do I have to provide them Police Certificate for my stay within Canada?
