Hi
I want to know one thing before i apply for asylum
I know i cant go back to my hone country until i get my canadian passport
But
When i will get my PR after asylum
Can i travel to other countries?????
can i sponser my parents as a visitor after i get pr from asylum application????
Can i travel to any country with RTD???

you get your PR after 24 months that is the processing time
Yes, you can travel to other countries once you get a visa for that country
Yes, when you become PR you can sponsor your parents to become PR.
Yes again once you have an RTD get visa for the country and go there, and you cannot use your home countries passport to travel.

Hello all,
I hope you are doing good.
Today I got a message on my GCKEY account and it was saying Eligibility passed and asking my overseas spouse to apply at Cairo office. Security and background check are yet to complete. I’m Sept. 2018 applicant under protected person class.
how close are we to the DM?
And shall my overseas spouse apply online?

you may get DM in a few days or a few months.. all depends on how long security and criminality takes.

Today 4th Aug received medical request from IRCC.
applied : 29th May 2019
Acknowledgement: 15Oct 2019
RCMP and FBI: fingers print request 20Feb2020
Medical Request: 04Aug2020
Time-bar: 71% and expected date of completion 29th January 2021.

Yes you can, sponsor your entire family once you meet the sponsorship requirements and make a certain amount of money ETC

I'm planning on renewing my RTD since I became PR in the meantime and anyway my current RTD is about to expire within a few months. Do I know right that I have to provide the following documents in order to get the new RTD which will be valid for 5 years?

1. Application form
2. Old Refugee Travel Document (which they will keep I assume)
3. PR Card
4. My nationality passport (that was seized by IRCC before I was getting my PR card)
I was told that I must get my nationality passport back from IRCC and once I get it back then I have to send it alongside with the RTD application to Passport Canada and they will keep it there, because I can't have two valid passports at the same time (my nationality passport is still valid that's why).

If old RTD expired, you do not need to send with application. But when you renew, you have option for old one , they will return or destroy, you don’t need to send you home country passport, they know that you cannot use it.

Guys my best friend and his boyfriend got approved today!!!!! we both applied same day... i am so happy he is about to come over to drink all night and take tomorrow off from work IRCC is working working working and i see a lot of October applicants.

They even extended his medical on the same day as mine and never update his profile until today...

OMG I AM SOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!! you should have seen and heard us on facetime crazy...
