Time limit for medicals?

I think I remember reading that you have 60 days from the time they request the medical to the time they should be done? Can anyone confirm that it is 60 days? Also is does that mean 60 days to complete them or is it 60 days for the doctor to submit the results to CIC?

My boyfriend and I would like to plan a vacation together but don't want to risk missing the request for medicals.

You cannot exactly say how much time CIC gives for Medicals as it is mentioned on the paper received from them. Sometimes, it is only 30 days and sometimes 90 days.

Does anyone know how long it takes CIC to receive the medicals after they have been done? 30 days just doesn't seem like much time to me to make an appointment, for the doctor to get any lab results and then send the result to CEC.

We wouldn't be worried about traveling if we thought he could get the medicals done where ever we were but I have also read that they mail you some kind of special form that is stamped by CIC that you have to bring with you to the appointment. If we aren't home when they mail this then making the appointment with a doctor in another country won't do us any good since we won't have this stamped form.

Does anyone know if this is true or do you just get an email with some forms to print up to take with you to the appointment?

Within 48 hours as most of the Panel Physician do eMedicals ....
You will receive an email from your VO asking you to do the medicals. You can call your Physician and book an appointment. All details are already with your Physician and everything is done online. Don't forget to take your Passport and photographs.

If it is any help i booked my medical (the wait was only about a week long) i got a call to come in the next day from a cancellation. I had my cert which you have to send off the same day. The results were sent off by them so all you needed to do was send the form they give you on the day.
