How long you are actually allowed to stay will depend on the immigration officer you meet at the airport when you arrive.

There's no rule that says you cannot stay for more than 3 months. That said, if it seems like you are not a genuine visitor (Read: A stay of 5.5 months indicates you do not have any ties to return to India), the officer could limit your stay.

You may also want to keep in mind that the longer you stay when you visit this time, the higher the chances that your next visit could be limited or you might find it difficult to get another TRV in the future. BTW your sister cannot sponsor you for a TRV

IMO, your stay must be for 3-4 weeks max. Do book tickets where the fare conditions allow you to change the flight dates for an administrative fee.

You must also bring evidence of your ties to India + finances to support your visit
thank bryanna , how much doller i need to bring with me to show

Not more then CAD 10,000.
Wrong you can bring till 10000 without declaring it but u can bring as much as you want the thing is you just need to declare. There is no charges or no fees for getting extra money it’s just you have to declare it to CBSA office at the time of declaration

Where we need to declare? Before checkout you luggage? They ask how much you carrying with you ?
Read this link the onus is on you to declare if you have over 10k CDN or equivalent currency.

https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/aba-apa-eng.html

For a simplistic answer search YouTube for Canada Customs Declaration form for a step by step guide.

All info easily found through a Google search

As a visitor nobody cares about debts only about the cash you might carry 10k or over. You can bring as much cash as you want as long as you declare, even a million dollars if you have a big enough suitcase, although CBSA might ask where the million came from but you get the point.

Don't bring too much cash. It might seem like you have plans to be in Canada for a long stay. Work out whatever is reasonable for a stay of a few weeks/one month.

Also, do purchase the foreign currency only from RBI-licensed Forex dealers who will issue legit receipts that would have your passport number/other details. You must carry this receipt.

Do check that you are within Forex limits/that you don't need to declare the foreign currency at the Indian departure airport.

You may also want to consider purchasing Forex cards from your bank in India. These cards can be topped with CAD and work like debit cards. The balance amount on these cards can be refunded to your bank account when you return to India
