We got mail!! I have been waiting for so long to post this message!!

The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada appears complete. You should submit your passport(s) before Dec 21, 2010. The issuance of your visa(s) is time sensitive (catch the irony?) so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) as requested . . .

I honestly wondered whether this day would ever come, and I cannot let it go by without saying a very special thank you to everyone here. You have all been so incredibly supportive of us, and have never failed to encourage - throughout this whole ordeal. Of special note: my friend matthewc . . . you know, Matthew, that we would never have made it through this had it not been for your knowledge, calm assurance, perspective and - most of all - your patience. From Day 1 after the refusal you pointed us in the right direction and we are forever grateful.

I can not even begin to mention all the others, because I know I would forget someone important - but I want you to know that being here has kept my sanity intact. On the darkest days I knew I had somewhere to go where people would understand. I will never stop trying to help others the way I have been helped.

I really thought, when and if this time ever came, that it would sort of end up feeling very anti-climatic . . . but let me just say, that is not the case. We are over the moon and I am so happy to share it with all of you. Cheers!!

Congratulations RobsLuv. Weird eh? I think I must have ESP!!! LOL! I couldn't be happier for you.

People, most of you do not know how much RobsLuv has suffered through this process unless you've been around for a long time. But you should be thanking her. Through all of the highs and lows she has experienced, she has grown, learned and SHARED her experience and knowledge with everyone on this forum. Lots of people would have given up or refused to help others because of their own suffering. She didn't.

Thanks girl. And I know you'll be sticking after all of this is done. But a holiday from immigration is completely acceptable! Just make it short!

Oh my gosh, I am so thrilled to hear that. My hubby and I have been following your story for quite some time not to mention the advice you have given us has always been spot on. Without your help, I could not have kept my sanity and done things the way they needed to be done. Stories like yours give true hope to so many. I am hoping that you will still come and visit us but it is definitely understandable if you don't, just don't know who I will go to when I get lost. Lol. Can't wait to tell hubby when he wakes up, I know he will be so happy for you too because he appreciates all you have done for us. Your time has finally FINALLY come for you to start living a "normal" life again and look into the future. A bright future at that. I am sorry this journey has been such a rough one for you but it only makes you deserve it so much more, not to mention all the time of waiting has made you that much more ready to celebrate. Are you and the hubby going to celebrate soon?
