My comment was about Ontario, I think (but am not sure) that in many federal jobs in Ottawa you need to be a Citizen and bilingual ?

you dont need to be a citizen, you can be PR for government jobs. Some need security clearances. You dont have to be bilingual for ALL gov. jobs but you have more scope since some jobs do require you to be bilingual.

And, its always interesting to learn a new language =)

LOL .... I know those feelings. I used to be an e-CAS freak like you until one day I realized that e-CAS is BS for most of it. I hardly ever do the whole e-CAS thing. Maybe once a week now.

Uhmm, you can try listening to those international streams on iTUNES while you try dancing or cleaning. It's very difficult to come off the e-CAS addiction. In time you will just get sick and tired of it.

LOL ... this though is too funny. I thought I was the only freak when it comes to keep refreshing e-CAS each minute.

Life is hard without your partner with you and all kinds of insecurities can creep in. I think I agree with with what most of you guys are saying...keeping busy and getting involved in some fun activity (whatever hobbies you have) is a great idea. If you are happy with yourself, you will be happy with your partner. If you are frustrated, that will show in your relationship.

It is unfortunate that for a lot of people that is how their married life starts...with all this stress and anger. I just hope its a temporary think and wont have a long term impact on the relationship.

Yoga and meditation are supposed to be great to relax your mind. Personally have never tried it but would like to sometime...maybe sometime soon =)

When I was in Canada, I used to use the CIC hotline a lot ..... spending minutes just to go through the automated system trying to access my file. Do they still have that option to check application status via phone?

My partner and I used to fight, argue and B**** a lot about this whole process. It was always a "who knows more" fight-fight situation. Sometimes it used to get out of hand. The stress and frustration is overwhelming and the least of things can tick the mind off into a tantrum to fight. After my interview, we hardly ever fight and argue about everything. We do bicker but it's just for silly things now.

I think like "tinker" said, marriage life just takes a toll on all of us to weigh out who is strong at handling it and who is feeble.

LMAO, this is hilarious. I hope you are OK and not bleeding or anything with those rottweilers around! Still funny though. I guess the doggy needs some play time.

I always get this fright to call the CIC hotline. I used to think that they knew who I was and they would only put big red strikes on my file... LOL .... the fear of a potential immigrant I tell you

My application is outland. I lived in Canada before as a refugee and got dipped back to my homeland at the beginning of this year. At first we were going to do inland because I had about a year or so to kill before having to leave Canada. It took my outland VO 13 months to schedule an interview. I got the whole 10 yards that came with the package at my interview (meds, PCC, etc) All done and submitted. I am just waiting for a friggen letter in the mail to see what they are going to do next. I will need to apply for Authorization to Return to Canada but at my interview the IO said he will approve all that. My next BFD is the ending of this month. I am hoping to get something in the mail very soon. I was hoping that it'll all be over and done it before the holidays but seeing how this effed up office works, it'll prolly take me into January or February :(
