if they didn't ask, it's a good sign. they don't always ask for the update. you probably will receive your passport back with visa next step.

I thought landing was pretty easy. I drove to the visa office in Buffalo with my passport and turned around and came back.
Got goods to import?...there is a form you need to fill out and take to customs after you land. A car?...got to find out if it is admissible into Canada, etc

Hey guys. I forgot to update my status on here. My common-law partner got her PPR a little over a week ago. So, we've sent the passport in and are awaiting its return.

The one funny/strange thing is that I sent a CAIPS request about two months ago now (around Nov. 25), but we have not received them. If they know that your PPR will be issued very soon, will they sometimes not bother sending out the CAIPS notes? Now that the process is close to over I'm not concerned, but it just seems a bit odd that we didn't receive the CAIPS notes.

Your status/process of application has nothing to do with the CAIPS note request. I ordered my spouse's CAIPS note just a while before she received her PPT request. And the info. of PPT request was on CAIPS note.

Congratulation on your spouse's PPT request.

Thanks.

Guys! my e-cas was changed from in process to decision made!! Does it mean that I am going to have my PPR now?

This is my time line:

August - application was sent
Sept - Husband approved as sponsor
Oct 15- In process /request for passporrt
Oct 27 - passport was dropped in Canadian Embassy (manila)
Jan 25 - Decision made

I HOPE THAT THIS WILL BE THE END OF MY LONG WAIT!!

Landing next week

Hi Everyone...

Well, my wife is planning to "land" next week at Toronto Pearson. We have her passport, visa, COPR, and duplicate Customs Form B4...any final advice? She is pretty nervous, but everyone says this should be a "breeze"!!! Compared to the application process, anyway! Thanks for all the advice from all the contributors....
