We received the first word from CIC today! The Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class was approved on September 25, which is 38 days after CPC-M received our application. They are forwarding a copy of the Application to Sponsor and the Application for Permanent Residence to Buffalo.

Our next step is to submit an undertaking application to the Provincial Government of Quebec.

Hey everybody!
Just wanted to let you know that I've been GRANTED permanent residence. =D
The visa was issued on the 24 September 2009 and arrived today. I will be moving to Canada in November instead of just visiting. Stoked!
Overall, the application has been processed just over two months. Incredibly fast, I'd say, especially when looking at the Berlin time line.

I wish you all good luck with your applications and that they will be as fast as mine was!

Congrats oneluckycookie. I'm happy for you. Saw in the cic website that 30% is processed within 6 months. Your case is one of a kind. Hope I'll get mine too.

Btw, where in Canada are you heading?! Thanks. Hope you don't mind

congratulations, OneLuckyCookie! what great news! :)

Congrates one lucky cookie.... Good to hear your news.. As on now you are the first member to get visa on this thread... you have to lead other.... Please keep posting your experiences and all other requirements on this thread... just to make others' life eazy....

Thanks, guys! I shall keep you posted on the progress. Haven't looked at the documents, yet, since they arrived at my parents' place.
I will be moving to Ottawa, Ontario. My boyfriend and I already lived there together when I was in Canada on my study permit. I'll be moving on the 5th of November.
Good luck to you all and happy Germany Day for the Germans in the forum! =)

Hi everyone! Although I've never posted before, I've been following this thread intermittently because it's so comforting to hear people's stories who are going through the same thing you are. Although I'm at the leading edge of the group, for a timeline reference I wanted to let everyone know I got my PPR today, so I hope everyone will be receiving theirs in no time as well! A quick question if I may: I sent 3 photographs with my initial application, do I need to send 3 more with my passport?

US Citizen - Outland Spouse Sponsorship (Buffalo)

Sent out application: August 31st, 2009
Application received by CPC-M: September 2nd, 2009
Application processed: September 29th, 2009
Letter of decision made sent out: September 29th, 2009
Approved letter received in the mail: October 5th, 2009 :)

I have a quick question - how long does it take for the PR status to change from "Not Available" to "In Process"?

Thanks everyone!!

Once they start processing your file, you will be able to login on eCAS and track.

Hi Artymow, after my husband (PR applicant) received his letter from Buffalo stating that they have received his file, it was about 4 or 5 days later that we were able to log on and the status said "in process. Once you/spouse receives the letter from the office who is processing the PR application, then you need to log in ecas with the PR applicants info using the file number on that letter. Hope this helps!!

how frequently they update on-line info? do they mention there about the passport request?
thank you

Hi Artymow,

It looks like my application was filed just ahead of yours. I sent it in on August 18. Hopefully we'll both move through the process smoothly. Have you entered your data in trackitt?

Good luck with your application!

Hey Woman On The Move,

No I have not, however, I just checked out the trackitt website and I will add my time-line into it shortly. :) Now all we have to do is play the waiting game ...

Good luck on your application and please keep your status posted and as will I :)

Cheers!

ei guys, is there a possibility somehow that you'll receive your sponsorship approval letter first and you'll see in ecas hasn't decision made yet. Is there a possibility happens on that situation somehow?
