If you're going by the times listed on the website I take it to mean that they will have the PR issued within 12 months. They'll be looking at the file throughout that time though.

Hey Everyone thought my post might give you some hope on your own progress.

Tuesday, Nov16th I got the email requesting my passport. Wed, Nov 17th I flew down to Los Angeles and Thurs, Nov 18th I got my PR visa. Friday, Nov 19th I flew back to Canada and landed at the border officially a Permanent Resident of Canada! It took 5 minutes in the immigration office at Edmonton Intl Airport. The whole process took 2 1/2 months. We applied Sept 1, 2010 and I landed Nov 19, 2010. I'm amazed,happy, and very grateful that it all worked out so well, with no problems whatsoever, and so quickly! If anyone needs help with their process let me know!

Thanks guys! I am so happy to have mine. I got worried though, I was reading about the PR Card and it takes 30 days to come in the mail, and you need it to re enter Canada when you travel. Well I leave Canada on Tuesday for a trip and I dont have the card yet! So I started to freak out a bit! Anyways, I wish you all luck in getting your PR visas!!

Hey! Sure. I met my husband in Nov 2008, began dating in Jan 2009, got engaged Nov 2009, got married June 2010. He is Canadian and I am American. I gave them photos of each time we were together and I made sure to label each one with the date, place, & people in the photo. I sent them all the travel tickets/reservations that we took to visit each other, some letters that I wrote to him, records of our text messages, and records of our skype phone calls. Also make sure you fill out the application thoroughly and pay all fees that you need to pay. Let me know if you have more questions or if I didn't answer something.

Sooo, today my wife received AOR from Moscow via email. The letter is dated Oct. 11 which is only 6 days after sponsor approval!!!...Strange that they would send letter now a month and a half later. Huh Maybe I can expect to receive letter from them sometime next week as well...

Bonbon, You can update AOR received Oct. 11!!

Thanks bonbon9, You can also put processing as 11/10 as well...Actually, the process was confirmed to start on Oct. 11 but we just received AOR today...So I guess that should be the dates?
