New Delhi office is the slowest. Its been almost 2months and I dont even see In Process status.

Seems that sao paulo isn`t the fastest either, since my case was fowarded to them from mississauga on the 15th of october, and today (18th of november) I still can`t see the In Process status either...
it`s been more than one month! hopefully it will be only a lack of ONLINE UPDATING, not delay on the processing

Hi, this is my first post, but i have been reading these threads religiously, I figured I should enter my information so other people can use it as reference as I have used other peoples time lines as reference also. I am an American applying under Common law with my Canadian gf. We plan to move to Toronto in the coming year.

1. App received- 09/01/10
2. Sponsorship approved- 09/28/28
3. Buffalo starts process- 10/07/2010
4. AOR is received by regular mail- 10/16/2010
5.Email stating file transferred to NYC consulate- 10/26/2010
6. Email from NYC consulate requesting current address- 11/04/10
7.Sent proof of current address by over night mail (couldn't email it)- 11/05/2010
8. PPR request from NYC 11/18/2010

My wife and I are experiencing the same thing through Moscow. 6 weeks after sponsor approval and no updates. Someone a month prior to me got email response and they haven't even looked at his file either. So this office seems backlogged and not touching our apps yet

Same like.. US VO and Manila VO process cases faster than others... especially VO in South America...

Looking forward to see the status change .... now still on Decision made... 2 months passed.. Another 16months.. my godddd
not sure. if the application already sent to Caracas Office or not... do u think, we can call them to find out if the file is in processing??

Would u plz tell me what sort of proof u sent along with ur application to proof ur relatuionship genuine? R u married or in a common-law relationship? I have sent in total 15 photos of my wedding, reception, gaye holud, and engagement with fb amd email msgs but those were written in our native laguage. Will that be a problem that we didnt made translation of those messages? Beacuse we thought that real one will be better rather than making any translation. We sent our wedding card also.


My wife is staying with me so i had to sent an acceptance letter from her college to proof that she will be going with me when i get visa. In addition I said that her parents already staying in Canada so they will arrange a flat for us so that we can stay. Point to be noted is my wife is a naturalized canadian citizen for 15 years. She stayed in bangladesh for last 6 years from 2002 to 2008 with her parents and then she along withe her parents and brothers went to canada to resume their status in Canada. And in 2010 may she again came to Bangladesh to marry me and since then she is staying there with me. Will that be any problem because of her staying 6 years in Bangladesh? We said we dont want to continue any long distance relationship so she will be staying with me until my visa is issued. We had 2 years relation before getting married.

So the husband received AOR on Wednesday. They said they received the application on Sept. 20 --- not sure how that is possible since Mississauga sent it in October... A typo, you think? Maybe it should be Oct. 20?? Either way, we're looking at a 12 month processing time. Does anyone know that when they say 12 month processing time whether they are issuing permanent residency in 12 months or they look at your file in 12 months?

Anyway, if they have received the application on Oct. 20, it took almost a month for them to acknowledge it. So for my fellow Canadians with South American spouses, keep this in mind and remain patient. CAS hasn't been updated either.
