hi guys!

just wondering what you mean by approved already? so you're off the hook already? after a month? like, you're getting your PR status already? i submitted my application sept 14 and was received at Vegreville sept 16. still no word from them :(

whiteapple: We are talking about sponsorship approval, not PPR. It means that our sponsor has been approved at Mississauga and our files will be transferred to our Visa Offices. I think Vegreville takes a little longer on this stage. Good luck!

ecas isn't updated yet on my application so if I don't see any update 'til next week then i'll most likely email Manila visa office and ask what's up with my application. If no reply within 3-4 days then I'll call them, I guess. :(
 
My sponsorship application has been approved!!! YAY! A load of my chest opening up that letter today. Finally some joy in all of this distance!

SO EXCITED......... DECISION MADE ON OCTOBER 15, 2010... my god... YAHOOOOO hopefully everything will do GREAT!
BONBON can you make amendment of the date they have received my application on Sept. 21, 2010...
BUT they spell my husband last name incorrectly.. . What can i do??? should i call them for the necessary change? my god!!
However i have a silly question, i dont know if others have same question
on the decision made section. it didnt say I get approval of my application or not. they just say they sent me a letter on October 15 about the decision. so which mean it has to be refused or approved right~!? my god... I feel heart attack!!!!anyone can answer my question! THANKS!

Yes Chloe, just to make the process that little bit more stressful you now know a decision has been made but you won't know what it is until the letter arrives! ::) sure immigration staff have a secret evil streak and have a bit of a giggle knowing how exciting it is when you see 'Decision Made' and then the realisation that you still don't really know anything !! (Surely it wasn't a Canadian that thought up this process?!?! It's just not nice!!)
just a few more days and then you can start waiting all over again for news of the PR!!

You're on your way though!! Congrats!!

CanadianDude: I updated the list with the date you received the letter, however, the day the decision was received must be the day the letter was issued :)

This is what I get for being so impatient and neurotic. ???
I just checked ecas and FINALLY my application says IN PROCESS as of October 14, 2010. Big sigh of relief there for me.. ;D
No more worries that it was lost in the mail or something. :) Now I can relax a little and wait once again.. 8)

Chloe! I can't reply to your message because your inbox is full, but thanks!! Congrats to you too! :)
I hope you'll receive your letter soon, I'm sure it's good news! If you have the time, calling CIC would be a good idea. Some people are told on the phone if the decision was positive or negative. If they say your file has been transferred, it's positive!
By the way, my name has a spelling mistake on eCAS too. On my sponsorship approval letter, my name didn't have the spelling mistake anymore. I would say, wait for your letter, and if the spelling mistake is still there, contact CIC.

My lawyer actually received the letter today.when i noticed them i got an update on ecas ... so they have forwarded to me... YES..!! BONBON they spell either my husband name incorrectlyon ecas and the letter..
I have met the requirements of sponsorship on Oct 15, 2010 and file transfer to Caracas ..visa office..................................
they said they will send them a letter to make an amendment... oh my goddd... just feel like .lack of Oxgyen while i was reading the letter..
Anyone has the same feelings?:P hahaha ...

How can they spell it incorrectly.. cannot understand it!!!!
Is it now we can call to Caracas office after two weeks??? hopefully we will get it soonnnnnn...
