haha yeah I know.. I have already been told and yup we sure have to celebrate... August 17th is a day to remember forever. :)

Question for you all...we just received my husbands' AOR along with a request for documents, which was a Police Certificate for Brazil. Which ones did you have to submit for Brazil...apparently of the 4 we submitted, the regional ones were not issued by the correct authority?! Hope you have some insight on this?! Help!

Hmm...Dont have anything to help you...this does not sound right. I would send the ball in their court...Show that you have followed the process (which I am sure you did)...and ask which one is wrong and where should one get it? Unless their procedure has changed it is well documented on the app guide for Latin America

I did not do this yet...but 4 you said? According to this here, only 3 needed.

Local Requests
Applicants should contact the issuing authorities to obtain the three following certificates:

1. A Certidão de Antecedentes Criminais, issued by the federal police. Consult their website at www.dpf.gov.br for instructions.
2. A Certidão de Antecedentes Criminais, issued by the state authority. Contact the state authority directly, using the local directory for assistance.
3. A Certidão de Distribuição Cíveis e Criminais, issued by the Federal Ministry of Justice. Contact the local justice department for instructions or consult www.justicafederal.gov.br.

Which state is this from in Brazil? This might help if someone has gone through the same process for the same state

:-)

He is in Fortaleza, Ceara

Does anyone have contact email for Sao Paulo, where I can send an inquiry? Thanks :)

Try SaoPaulo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

You should have this page bookmarked ;)

www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/sao-paulo.asp

Haha..who says I don't?! We are through the mountains of papers now...now it is just the waiting :) They list 4 different emails for imiigration-related inquiries, depending on which site you are looking on!

When Sao paulo receives your documents...to whom they send the letter to accept or deny PR?

To whom does sao Paulo sends the letter of refusal or acceptance for PR ?

Hi Pauline Regina...I am not sure about the PR refusal or acceptance letter, most of those I know on here have received their visa at the interview. So far, our AOR and document request have been sent to my husband, in Brazil. I am assuming that all communication after sponsorship is completed would go to the applicant.

WOOOOHOOOOO!!! MY WIFE WILL BE HERE IN MY ARMS AUG 17, 2010!!!!

Thanks to God our process was extremely fast. Along with praying every day for this, I sent the usual documents and some pictures of the different times we spent together and some wedding photos. I sent all the Skype call logs I could find (just shows time and date of call. Not the conversations). I sent the first few emails and a copy of 2 letters I wrote her in the beginning of our relationship. The one question of how the relation was formed was answered with the following:

SPONSORED SPOUSE/PARTNER QUESTIONNAIRE - IMM 5490

9. After _______ and I met we spent time together over the next few days. It was on the night of Feb 24, 2009 when we kissed for the first time at ______ night club. He returned to Canada on Feb 27, 2009. We kept in contact every day through email, MSN messenger, Google chat, cellular text messages and Skype video calls. He returned to _________ Brazil April 17-27, 2009. We rented an apartment near the beach in the city of _________. I introduced him to my parents during his visit. _________ returned again to Brazil on July 10-20, 2009. He stayed with me and my mother and father in our apartment downtown __________. His next trip to visit me was October 8-19, 2009. He stayed with me in my family's apartment. We celebrated his birthday together on October 14, 2009. I went to Canada on December 21, 2009. I spent time with ________ and met his family and friends. We were in ________ when he proposed to me on Dec 23, 2009. We celebrated Christmas and the New Year together. I returned to Brazil on January 3, 2010. __________ came to Brazil February 28, 2010 and we were married on March 6, 2010.
