Osiris, and Salparadise:

Congrats to you both!

My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon, so she dropped her passport and original birth and wedding cert in this morning. knock on wood to quick timing!

I'll update everyone as we move forward....

:-* Hello! everybody...Finally My partner got his visa affixed to his passport today!

Oh! the waiting was killing me here in Canada, since the interview what was positive we were counting every single day, then on December 21, e-cas change from "in process" to "decision made," well that gave a little relief, but the waiting for the visa issued looked to be forever... :)

Now he is ready to come soon and landing in Canada in the next few days!

Thanks for the support from the members of this useful forum :-*

I'm currently in the sponsorship process.... Sponsoring my wife in costa rica. I dont understand when you guys say 80 percent for 18 months? Does that mean mine has a good chance for a way of 18 months!!!?

Very nice and congrats!.. I wish you the best of luck!

Did your partner get called in person to collect the passport? Interesting that e-cas changed so many days before you were actually notified!

Hi stevedominic.

Yes he got a call from the embassy in Guatemala to go in person to collect the passport with visa on January 9, and the e-cas change on December 21 2010, it looked forever the waiting since the interview with a positive answer was on November 21 2010, We were wondering the same why so many days, but we couldn't complain much since our process ran fast, we started on June 2010.

Anyways they finally called him we got his ticket.
thanks!
good look!

Hi all,

Good news (hopefully) - e-cas changed to "decision made" today! Anxiously waiting for the notification to pick up the passport!

It looks like there is a 2-3 week delay in the changing of e-cas to the call from the embassy?

Hi yes, actually take around 3 weeks after the e cas3 change, dont worry they will call you soon, my husband received a call from the embassy on January 8,2011 and the e-case change on December 21,2010, he had the interview on November 22,2010.

We wish you the best, we are together in Canada finally so happy!

cheers!

Thank you!

The embassy just called (1 day later).. she is going to pick up the papers tomorrow!!

Hey everyone,

my husband FINALLY got the RCMP criminal record check (a year after he applied for it!) and it was sent to guatamala last week, however we know his medicals are expired...has anyone been approved without having to re-do medicals?

Mrs Casanova. We got the visa before the Medical got expired, So, since it is valid for one year I recommend to you to redo medical before the VO ask for it.

wish you the best!
