hey amberrojas yes DHL and u need to call them asap right now well actually ur husband before they close because monday they will send it to the DHL office and there are 4 in san jose the closest one in the centro is paseo colon so tell him to call DHL and to tell them if they can send the package to the paseo colon office and the address if he goes in taxi its 200 metros este de la toyota en el paseo colon, I hope u get this message asap and tell ur hubby good luck

Morning, my husband has picked up his package. In it they only requested the medical exam to be redone even though the criminals have expired too. What did you and your husband have to do? Both the criminals and medicals or did they ONLY request the medicals?

Hey amberrojas am glad ur hubby got the package, well they just sent the medical forms and passport the criminal record thing my hubby did it in february and is valid for a yr, so that would depend on when ur hubby did it, all we got were the medical forms and we did everything asap and sent everything back the medical examination sheet signed by the doctor, original passport and a prepaid airway bill from DHL , am guessing because as soon as they have the medical results they will make the decision and stamp passport and send everything right over to me directly instead of the embassy, well thats what am hoping for and asap lol, thats a but it how about ur hubby what did they ask him to do/send ???

Thanks! his criminal expired actually August 26 2011. Just a couple weeks ago. Weird that they never requested this as well. I will have my husband do BOTH the medicals and criminal check as he is already in SJO and I really don't want to have this delayed longer just because they might have forgotten to request those as well.

Dont send anything unless they request it, or email them and ask them or make your husband do it and in case they ask for it then he can send it well thats what I think but u guys are the ones that decide what to do as for DHL prepaid airway bill they asked it because am guessing as soon as they stamp the passport they will send it asap via DHL to my husband, but thats because they asked me for it if they dont then I guess u cant send it

Well I just wanted to update, I emailed the vo on wednesday, and today friday I recieved a reply saying

Dear Applicant
Your file has been placed in a queue awaiting assessment by an Immigration Officer. We do not require any additional information from you at this time. We will contact you soon to let you know what the next stage of processing will be.

So am praying and hoping my husband will get his passport stamped any day now

Its for them to return your passport so you do not have to travel for a pickup my husband did it in Jamaica and it was about $20cdn equivalent try look for DHL

ok, so I just need to go to a DHL brunch and tell them what I need to pay and they'll know?
Then I go back to the canadian embassy and drop of my passport? right? in the same envelope they requested the info?
I guess...geeez the lady there says she doesnt know any information at all...ask guatemala and guatemala never replays

You need to have all documents and passport ready, once u have everything u go to DHL and tell them u want to send everything to Guatemala, but you tell them u wnat a prepaid airway bill, ( prepago de rebote ) and then inside the envelope your sending u send all the documents plus the piece of paper of the airway bill. From costa rica to guatemala they charged me 11,000 colones which is approx. $22.00 canadian, and as for the prepaid once the package arrives u cancel the payment, am suppose to pay 22,000 colones which is approx $40.00 If u need any more help send me a message

I will do that and send the requested docs, how did you know this info, I asked the lady at the desk what to do for the the airway bill and she said she doesn't have a clue at all, and who do I ask about this to? and she didn't give me an answer......

When u go to DHL they know what your talking about so just tell them they deal with cases like this all the time so dont worry ur not the first or last to do this, as for sending the requested docs, you are sending them but to the canadian embassy in guatemala via DHL, good luck in your further process, keep the thread updated

I was wondering if anyone knows the best courier to use to send stuff to Guatemala office? Fed ex or DHL?
