I'm hoping ANYBODY can answer some questions for me since i cant seem to get hold of anybody at the embassy...

My husbands file was transfered to Guatemala May 27 2011. AOR said it was recieved June 6 (aor was sent to the lawyer) . The lawyer told us to get medicals for my husband and his kids and a background check for my husband in August. We finished those on Aug 9...but...the application status still only says "application recieved" do you remember when yours was changed to "in process"? Also the address has disappeared from ecas...did yours? Im starting to get really anxious about this waiting. I was with him in Guatemala from june til october with our two babies but had to bring the babies home...and leave him and his kids there. We were so sure they would be home for Christmas but thats impossible now. So its been 6 months and nothing has changed and we are worrying. I keep trying to think no news is good news but OMG its so hard when our babies ask for Daddy. Anybody have the same thing (no change on ecas for so long)? Address disappearing? Anything from anybody would be greatly appreciated.

Be short and clear, write your file number, birthdate, full name and country of residence.

Yes if they don't answer means that your case is still under their time frame, you will have no answer from them unless the estimated time has passed.

HI AmiMarin, I believe you have to have 10 posts to have the profile setting available. I hope you get a reply soon. I am sponsoring my wife and 2 dependent children. I included Meds / police checks and ROPR fee when I submitted the app in October.

My wife mailed in the passports on January 14th. The courier confirmed they were received on Monday Jan 16 @ 3pm in Guatemala City. Now I wait so roughly from When I mailed my app in Oct i've been waiting for 3 and a half months. GOOD LUCK and God bless.

It seems like you're flying through! Although, I was thinking it would be less than 2 mo. for CPC-M.

I don't know much about the process, but with the PPR being so quick after the AOR, is that simply for them to have it on hand while they process the app? What do they need to have the passport there for? It couldn't possibly be approved already??

WOW just to URGENT update. My wife just called me, The Guatemala VO just called her to advise the Visas have been approved and are being mailed back. They advised she has to land before June 28 2012 (just about when the meds expire) This is truly a miracle!

I pray u have the same processing time BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE!!

CONGRATS!!!! My husband also got a call today!!! They said they have and envalope for him to pick up...wonder what it is?!! Hes going Monday morning to get it. I cant wait! I hope its GOOD news!!
