Hi

About the RPRF receipt the only way to know if they received it is to call them, I think Alex121 I asked you if you did this already, as many of the delays of passports with visas is because Mississauga has not received the receipt, to everyone wondering why is taking so long even when you sent the passport and paid, make sure the mississauga RPRFs office has received the receipt in order to clear your payment, so you can have your visa in your passport otherwise you won't receive anything until that is processed.

Sure it does, I was in Colombia a couple months ago and I was able to call them from there, just dial international or in a Cybercafe, where they make internationals phonecalls, or even from a cellphone.

Hello is that not included in the $1040 that I had to pay ro apply originally? I've never been asked for any other payment or heard of anything else. I know they got that since my visa was charged and they started working on the application. I don't understand. Please advise.

I dont know if its the permenant resident fee, I recently got an email from immigration stating

Your file has been placed in a queue awaiting assessment by an Immigration Officer. We do not require any additional information from you at this time. We will contact you soon to let you know what the next stage of processing will be.

and my lawyer sent a message stating that we had sent the permenant resident fee back in march and thee above was what they replied

Ok but that is the office in Costa Rica, what you have to do in order to know about the payment is directly with Mississauga, if Mississauga does not process the payment, is probably one reason why your application is in a queue, my advice just to have peace of mind try to contact Mississauga and find out about that payment and if it's already cleared.

I will call them 2morrow morning as well it was a money order and with the tracking number recepit I call in at western union and it says my onder has not been cashed, so I guess it wouldnt hurt to call, what is the number and what do I tell them, thanks

Yes the RPRF is included with that amount of 1040$ but did you include the receipt of RPRF with your application?

Do you know if that payment is cleared already, before you get the visa in your passport that payment has to be cleared, if you are waiting for visa and it's taking to long this may be one reason why, if not just make sure that payment is cleared in Mississauga.

I'm sorry what is that about a money order? so you didn't pay that online or in a bank, this could be the problem alex121, try to fix this situation, call them no time to wait, I understand the only way you can pays this is online or in a Canadian bank.

Where do you live in Canada? are you a Canadian Citizen?

am a canadian citizen but am in costa rica right now with my husband, before I filed the application I paid the $1040 like in august and now in march they asked us for $400 ARC authorazation to return to canada and it has to be a certified cheque or money order but since I left to come to costa rica I left that $400 money order with my lawyer she sent it back in MARCH when they also asked for passport and police certificate,
