Love the Aldi chocolate also! Are you planning on going to Ogdensburg for a few hours or flagpoling? Just wondering as to wether to reveal to the US border people that your reason to travel is anything other than visiting Ogdensburg for a few hours to do some shopping. They always make me nervous at US borders, not the most welcoming bunch!

I went to Ogdensburg with my wife and returned later the same day, so that I could land.
The agent was a bit confused when we returned to Canada, she said that I was the only person that she knew that had not flagpoled!

To be honest the smaller border crossing are fine. Less of a queue for the booth and less of a queue inside.
Both the US and Canadian agents are not hostile at all :)
Prescott/Ogdensburg Canada border post is being rebuilt, it will be much larger - Old = 2 booths, new = 5.

Hi pinklady

I withdraw it about 25 days ago and my decision made changed on 2nd august. I ve not applied in country but was waiting to get the withdrawal first but I certainly do not want a rejection.

How long they take to let u know the outcomes of decision made once ecas shows that??

Naz
Hi Naz I hope your passport arrives with the visa on it but why would you withdraw your application right at the end?

Absolutely amazingly our situation is still a saga, Canada Post gave now lost my passport!!!!!!!! There's no sign of it from being scanned when initially handed over to be posted, we really can't believe it and are now having to look into what to do next...feel gutted...

It should have arrived but it hasn't even left the place it was posted and both Canada post and fedex(who get the package to handle externally) are lost to it's whereabouts!!!!

Wow!!

Don't worry about it Inl... Canada post is anyway being silly these days I hear. It might get there a little later but I'm sure it will... Fedex is really good and such packages that can be tracked normally get found sooner or later. I was once expecting a letter from the UK to my home country Kenya and it came about 2 weeks late because it had been on a little vacation to Brazil !!

Your package might have gotten on the wrong plane right now and probably that's why it can't be tracked. Once it reaches (wherever it heading to) and gets scanned there, it should come up on their system and then the package will be sent off to the correct destination. So don't worry. Cal Fedex tomorrow again.

@jaskp1 thanks for the positive vibes :-) it started tracking last night, four days later, still at same place all that time, so although the fastest courier service isn't at all fast at least it's started it's journey and we don't have to think of alternative plans :-)

Suppose I'll be on tenderhooks till it's back in my little hands with visa inside of it :-)

Hi there, for us Julions, there's no progress.. we wait until about the end of august for first stage approval, until then it's a big unknown.

Ugh..I suddenly got a craving for a cheese and pickle sandwich only to be confronted with blank looks from my partner when I asked if we could go get some pickle. :o

Is there any other ?

I miss it! Ploughman's are my favourite. The food here was probably the hardest thing to adjust to. That and the french, can't forget the french!

Safeway sell Branston...

pinklady, thanks so much for making the spreadsheet. It is great to see the average processing times of the posters here. When we get our papers in I'll be sure to give you our stats too.

Need more London PPR's! :D

The suspense of not knowing when we'll get ours is nerve wrecking :P

Yes! I found some, I guess just because my other half is Canadian I shouldn't expect him to know everything lol.

On another note my ecas just updated today to say my application was received in London on 28th July. Now I'm going to get stressed about it all over again.
