Are the people in CIC London completely inept? They just don't seem to be able to do anything right. My partner just picked up his COPR and visa today. They have me (the sponsor) as living at an address I haven't lived in since 2002. I don't even know where they got the address unless it was from a piece of evidence I sent in. It wasn't even the last address I lived at in Canada. Why on earth did they put that address. Does anyone know if this will affect anything? I sent them an email informing them of the error but as they NEVER answer any emails from me, I don't know if this will be a problem. Frustrated as H**L with CIC London.

I doubt it will be a problem since the next step is landing, and they will take an address from you then to send the PR card too.
Don't stress, just be happy that its almost over!

Hi Pinklady,

The letter is dated 17th July 2011. Could you also if possible average from sponsor to PPR. Your spreadsheet really is great!!!

What will happen now? will I get a letter from London to my UK address or does any information get sent to my husband in Canada?

Thanks

Morning.

London will correspond with you, the principal applicant. But they may also contact you via email.
They won't send an acknowledgement letter but check on ecas and they will update the date they received it. Then the next thing you hear from them will be either a request for more info, or PPR!

I changed the spreadsheet to show the average time from sponsor approval to PPR.

Excellent Pink Lady. Love the total counts in both columns.

my goodness this is taking forever! I think all the VO's went on vacation at the same time it seems.
Where are the inept temps to take over in London????

I used to think everyone who ranted was just not patient enough, but I'm beginning to get that way myself.

We are beyond ranting, just deflated now...

Sorry if this is a little off topic but all this waiting got me thinking about the officers who look at and access our files. What would their educational background/career path be? I assume they are Canadians living and working in England?

I totally feel for you. I keep watching for your posts to see if everything has been sorted yet. I had so many ups and downs with this process it is untrue. Hang in there, the nightmare will be over soon.

Am I right in assuming I need to apply for an extension on my visitor's visa while I wait for my PR in Canada (I'm applying outland)?
Thanks you kind experts,

Thanks MandyUK, or should I guess you're Mandy, just like I'm Andre? :o)
I had read that somewhere but just wanted to confirm, it seems obvious I'd need to extend my stay, but you never know.
As for the process I'm very familiar with it, I have had several extensions.. ;)
